'Some' teachings, you say? Why not 'all' teachings? Would it be because Bible is a diverse collection of vastly differing texts? Would it be because many of these texts espouse incompatible views on love, family, marriage &c.? Some of which are downright barbaric in this day and age?

I've read the Nashville statement. I didn't think it was possible for adults to compose a more vile, hate-filled bunch of garbage and actually call it a statement of their faith. It was woefully lacking in "what we believe", and concerned only "who we hate". I think you Christians should demand your money back, because you were not well served by the clergymen who are supposed to be your representatives to the religion.
