...if I speed, I owe a fine and go to traffic court. The judge declared me guilty. I don't have money and should go to jail. Then the judge pulls out his wallet and pays the fine, because he's my dad and loves me.
I sin and deserve death. The law says so and the judge is just.

...except for when the judge made the laws, knowing that you would speed, and made the penalty a life sentence, just so that he get you to beg him for mercy. And he lets you off the hook for doing so, as he does for anyone else, punishing those who are unwilling to submit to such a manipulative bastard.
Yes...he is very just...

Daddy then gets thrown off the bench for sitting in a case where he knowingly has a conflict of interest.
But the judge is the one who gets the money from the fines.
So, really, it doesn't make any damn sense.
Also, you weren't speeding, some guy way in the past was. Supposedly.
"Then the judge pulls out his wallet and pays the fine, because he's my dad and loves me. "
Well, that explains why Jesus got off so easy.
No you don't 'deserve death' - it's sad that your sick cult has brainwashed you to the point where you believe this. YOU haven't done anything at all to deserve horrific eternal torture - the most you could have conceivably done might warrant a good 'talking to' - but any God that would torture you forever would HAVE to be an evil one, by ANY definition of 'evil'. Unless... Hmm.. Do you like Nana Mouskouri?
Dear Mr. Matney,
Please don't start watching NASCAR or any other kind of motor sport. These fine gentlemen and ladies in the fireproof suits actually don't deserve to die just for doing their jobs.
And while you're at it, please stay the hell away from I-95 or any other road where I might drive.
Love,
Lilo

He may have paid the fine but you are still guilty and you personally still owe.
"I sin and deserve death. The law says so and the judge is just."
You believe this bullshit, don't you?
Speeding is unlawful . Not illegal .
...Just how is eternal torment just in any way, shape, or form? And eternal torment for something that one's great, great, great...(x50 or so) ancestors did, no less.

Yes but although speeding is a crime, it isn't worthy of death. That's something you and your god who believes all crimes are the same don't comprehend. There's degrees of severity in crimes, and appropriate consequences reflect such.

Yes, yes, everyone deserves eternal suffering due to our uncontrollable inperfection. Funny thing is people like yourself will visit other boards discussing gays, liberals, atheists and the like and all of the sudden only they deserve death.
Ah, but according to Jesus if you even think about speeding, I mean sinning, then you are guilty and deserve death: actions need not play any part in it. The comparison to human law is ridiculous as no human agency can effectively enforce thoughts. Plus, your brain with all its propensities was created by the very agent who punishes you for using it, consciously or otherwise. In other words, your hypothetical judge is not punishing you for something you did. He is punishing you just for the crime of existing, a situation you had absolutely no say in.
No Mike, the Christian system is NOT just. That is why it needs to be abolished, just like any other corrupt system.
Confused?
