I'm not saying all of Black is bad; they certainly have talented singers in soul, jazz etc. and I adore a few such as Stevie Wonder, Louis Armstrong etc.. But why should White people be subjected to the brainless monkey chants - so much noise pollution is not good for the country.
And Latino/Spanish music simply makes me blood boil; I hear it all in supermarkets, entertainment plazas and now even, upscale restaurants for Pete's sake. I simply hate the "livin' la vida loca" brigade.

Shouldn't this be on RSTDT?
[altho I must admit, living la vida loca was crap song, but that is like the top 40 equivalent of latin music, and as more people should realise, all top 40 sucks rabbit nutsack... stop putting the money in the hands of 13 y/o girls]
Does this Prussian Blue fan here realize that there were Spanish-speaking people on US soil before English-speakers? I do believe St. Augustine, Florida had Jamestown and Plymouth beat by a couple of decades.
And of course the Icelanders got there way before either one...
My brain froze when I read this. :(
If she adores a few Black musicians, then are they also guilty of brainless monkey chants?
Ricky Martin is a plague. I have to agree.
And before the icelanders it was the Chinese! lol.
Livin la vida loca is pure bile. The only thing I like about that song is when Puss in boots sings it on Shrek 2. Antonio Banderas can sing anything, and I'll be fine with it.
I doubt this person has ever listened to traditional African song. It's so joyful and happy!
You could always wear noise cancelling headphones to remove the bad music. Added bonus: Go around asking people if they've seen your baseball.
I actually like the hiphop. And I'm white enough to be seen on google earth, lol.
Culture shock from your own culture.
I don't know what y'all are talking about, this vida loca thing...I don't listen to commercial radio.
But yeah, Nicolette, keep that hate of yours glowing bright and strong.
Free Speech, my friend. You take the good with the bad. You may not like it, but the people who create those "monkey chants" and "livin' la vida loca" have just as much right to sing that as Cowboy Wayne has to sing about losing his truck.
I guess you wont be coming to our next native drum circle then.
Maybe if you white people stayed in your european barnyards with your pale face diseases, You wouldnt have to face other peoples music.
PS, go fuck yourself with a rusty chainsaw.
You're a bloody racist, and I hope you never wander out of your backwoods trailer into the real world.
One of these days, you'll discover that rock & modern country originated from R&B - or what you'd call "brainless monkey chants." Not that I expect you to listen to anything but "Duelling Banjos" anyway.
Mindless prattle from bigoted assholes "makes me blood boil."
"Muskrat Love," "Sugar, Sugar" and "Yummy Yummy Yummy I've Got Love in My Tummy" were all written by white people. Oh, the shame!
@Papabear
You forgot Mmmmbop
If you're referring to your dislike of rap and hip hop, then I am forced to agree - I don't like them either. But to call them "brainless monkey chants" is racist and inappropriate. The reasons why I don't like those types of musical genres have nothing to do with the nationalities of the people who sing them.
And what's wrong with Latino music? I may not like reggaeton, but some of Latino music is quite good.
"Noise pollution" to me would be nonstop heavy metal music shattering the eardrums of anyone unfortunate enough to hear. Notice that most, if not all, heavy metal singers (or screamers) are white.
P.S. You're a racist snob.
By all means Nicolette. Let's stick with the good White music of Skrewdriver, Landser, Rahowa, Prussian Blue, and Johnny Rebel.
By the way, the laundry called. They said your sheet's done but the pointed hood shrank. Maybe now it'll fit your head better.
Come on !!! Reduce all music produced in Latin America (I refuse to use the term "Latin Music") to Rick Martin is ofensive. Has this guy listen about Bossa Nova, João Gilberto, Tom Jobim, etc... ? Garota de Impanema (Girl from Ipanema) is the most played music in the world, just before "Happy Birth". Hell, even Frank Sinatra recorded a version ! And yes, he is a bigot racist.
RSTDT.
Also, jazz has some of the most sophisticated approaches to music theory, harmony in particular, of any music ever . And hip-hop is currently the center of the continuing tradition of meter and verse in American poetry. (White American poets these days have mostly wandered off into "metaphor-dense prose with random line breaks", with some worthwhile exceptions.)
Confused?
