Interestingly enough, nobody seemed to care much about abortion at all until the early 20th century, when some people put forth the notion that it should be medically regulated and not haphazard.
Besides, I've said it before and I'll say it again: if proper knowledge of contraception and how to use it could be disseminated to all of those who are sexually active (including high school students), women wouldn't have to seek abortions to try and get out of having a child that they're not prepared to raise. You can't have your cake and eat it, too.

Murder is done to individuals. Unborns are not individuals yet.
Big bucks? How, where? We have had right to abortions up until week 18 since 1974, no reasons are required. Abortions were permitted as early as 1938, if there was serious risk for the life of the mother, if she had been raped, or if there was risk of serious illnesses or deformities to the fetus (eugenic reasons).
