I don't see how the genie is gonna be put back in the bottle....
I look for the Battle of Gog and Magog next, though I always felt that the rapture could be a catalyst for this battle. With the U. S. crippled due to the millions missing and the resulting confusion of the rapture, what better time for Gog to strike Israel. With Russia and her allies destroyed by God, Israel rises to prominence. Then the a/c steps in to calm down the ones left behind.
It looks to all be on the horizon.

As stated in other posts, the entire "rapture" dogma is unbiblical. This dogma did not even exist until a self-proclaimed prophet named Darby took a huge number of out-of-context bible verses, put his own spin on them and came up with dispensationalism.
It really took off, though, when all of the KJV bibles in North America began to use an annotation provided by Mr. Schofield, who blatantly ripped off Mr. Darby, without credit for him, and a whole new "gospel" was written.
Get it through you thick skulls, you fundy morons, that the entire doctrine of "end-times" and "the rapture" is NOT biblical.
You're letting people with an agenda think for you.
It's sad.
Golly gee, according to this scenario, doesn't it look like Howdy Dubya Doody is the antichrist?

No shit Sherlock. BushCo have been provoking them for several years now.
Le sigh, another case of people taking biblical "prophecies"/allegories as meaning grim things for America.
Does Canada have any room for me?
I find it amusing that so many Christians don't realise that it has been considered the 'end of days' for something like 1900 years. The first Christians were sure Jesus was 'just about to come back'. The Catholic Church eventually decided that the marker would be 1000 years from his birth. When that ticked over they reevaluated the figures and decided it must have been 1000 years from Constantine making the Empire Christian. It obviously didn't happen then either.
And ever since Christian splinter groups have been trying to convince themselves and everyone else that Revelations is playing out even now so we'd better pray and hand over the worldly goods. It's fear mongering at it's worst and even the smallest reading about the history of religious movements would dismiss it as false.
This kind of stuff always reminds me of the scenes from Umberto Eco's book 'The Name of the Rose', where lots of the monks are convinced that the end of days is playing out so they 'see' proof everywhere, even convincing themselves that the current pope was the anti-christ.
A little ethnocentric, isn't it?. Bearing in mind that less than 1% of the whole population in the world is dispensionalist and that the number in the USA is less than 3%, I don't think the politics will change much.
You're letting people with an agenda think for you.
Why, yes, that's why they like it. Letting others think for you is so much easier.
"I don't see how the genie is gonna be put back in the bottle...."
Jesus just told me that he won't be coming until you learn to speak KJV English and stop believing in genies.
You may, however dream of them, especially with light brown hair.
BTW, I love the way 'The Rapture' anagrams into 'Pure Threat'!
And Gog and Magog into Gang Go Dogma.
LOL

Heh, don't flatter yourselves. Even assuming that this "rapture" BS is true, I doubt that there are enough "True Christians" in America to fill a Volkswagen.
... No fearing China? Godless, communism gone gilded age capitalist China? With the sheer manpower to literally choke most rivers with bodies and the economic power to actually destroy America's economy?
I thought you were a better fundie Cameron. I thought you were.
@Current
Actually, it's Central Air.
"No pleasure, no rapture, no exquisite sin greater, than central air"
Does this guy realize that the Persians were actually quite good to the Jews in the Bible? IIRC Cyrus was actually considered YHWH's anointed in some parts of Jewish folklore of the day.
Ahmadinejad, on the other hand, is kind of a jerkwad. I don't think he's even all that popular with his own constituency.
Gog vs Magog?
Well, since I'm not going up during this Rapture thing, might as well make the best of it...
