Interestingly, a woman's periods (when she sheds blood) are based upon the phases of the moon.

But if this were true, then the period phases would always align with lunar phases.
More likely, you are talking out your ass.
First the boy who thought women could just hold their periods until they got to the bathroom and now this idiot. What is it with dumb men who think they know how periods work. Yes, I'm grouch because it's my heaviest day, why do you ask?
"Approximately the same length between events" does not mean "based upon", Rob, and you could ask any sorority house or woman's dorm for statistics. But I'm curious: is this observation meaningful in any way? I mean, unless you are actually dumb enough to think that watching the calendar is a reliable method of family planning.
Edit to add: this site is pure comedy gold, with a very high "what-the-hell?" count, but I'm not going to delve into it very deeply without risking a padded cell in my future. Bible plus numerology plus secret codes plus "we can prove in the laboratory that god wrote the bible" - no, I'm not going to ask him how he plans to do that!
I'm not sure if this quote belongs here, exactly.
I mean, yeah, it's ignorance based off of old folklore, but that doesn't exactly make it fundie or darndest.
If we quoted every ignorant statement on the internet about the functions of a uterus, I'm guessing the servers would explode.
"Interestingly, a woman's periods (when she sheds blood) are based upon the phases of the moon."
no you idiot that's WEREWOLVES not women.
This may not be fundie in the traditional sense, but it certainly is darnedest.
Where are these idiots getting this crap from?
I've seen this theory before, the theory that like a lot of things found in nature, possibly at some point in our species evolution the menstrual cycle was influenced by the light levels of the moon or something else that ended us up with an ~28 day cycle. Dunno if it was ever true, but since mine are ~26 days, not keeping in step real well.
Except 28 is the average length of a cycle, not the rule. My cycle, on average, is 35 days. My mother's was 14 days. So much for the menstrual cycle being linked to the moon.
Sure, sounds reasonable.
For 1500 BC.
a woman's periods (when she sheds blood)
This becomes absolutely hilarious depending on how you interpret it.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
