We still bore holes in skulls to relieve pressure and perform brain surgery. They only difference is that medical knowledge has advanced to the point where we know when it's medically appropriate and can prevent infections.
Following that logic, abortions should become safer and even more precise.
There is no argument that I've ever heard against early abortion that doesn't boil down to "god said so", despite the fact that abortion was apparently not frowned on in many biblical passages, and despite the fact that it didn't even make god's little Top Ten No-no list. The opposition to abortion has its roots in the desire of politicians to develop an issue by which they could manipulate voters in order to increase their own power. I see Matt wants to participate in that power.

Since it's legalisation in 1967, every single Free Vote in Parliament to even remotely alter that legislation has gone against those who put forward those changes to the existing law.

Have you ever noticed that the "plans" or "conspiracies" of so many nefarious groups are outright goofy? Usually they bear no relationship at all to whatever it is that the group is trying to achieve.
