Palestinians are the modern day Phillistines. Israel of old did not negotiate with them because no such possibility existed. Peace only came after King David physically subdued them. The Palestinians must be utterly dominated, disempowered, and devastated.

Rather, Israel suddenly was declared a sovereign nation for the first time in over 2500 years, by outsiders who'd never even been there, thus abruptly displacing all the Arabs who'd been living there since time immemorial. You can't do something like that and expect there to NOT be violence. It just doesn't work that way.

1. The Palestinians elected HAMAS because Fatah was hopelessly corrupt, and because Fatah's 'negotiations' with Israel had gotten nowhere after fifteen years.
2. All well and good, except that Israel has not the right to own the area simply because their ancestors did 2,000 years ago. If they do, then I have some claims to make based on my Celtic heritage....also, I suggest that you look up Deir Yassin before you cast stones. The Palestinian village of Deir Yassin was notably friendly towards its Jewish neighbours in the lead-up to 1948. It didn't save them from ethnic cleansing, in which the Stern Gang killed every civilian they could find, then looted the village and made it habitable for incoming Jewish settlers.
Whilst I have my own axes to grind with Islam, it must be acknowledged that they often get short shrift at the hands of their neighbours.

Because Israel, in a slower fashion, is doing to the citizens of Palestine what Nazi Germany did to the Jews. Israel as a government entity is a complete monster. Jews and Muslims lived VERY PEACEFULLY in Palestine before Israel became a state again. Somehow people forgot about that.

Actually the Palestinians were kept down due to them being a colony of Britain. The Israelis had a massive influx of money and resources to keep them working which the palestinians never had.

I saw a documentary that had been cleared through the Israeli government for its content. In it a child was arrested for using green and yellow chalk to scribble on a cement wall, because green & yellow are Palestinian colors. In another scene a Palestinian was questioned while soldiers held a gun to his infant sons head.
