They teach stuff like man from monkey or chimp as if it was a fact, then they change from monkey or chimp to apes as they find they were wrong. Then since they realize that all of these and some of the future assumptions are suspect to change, they use "common ancestor" to cover a wide field of creatures. But they are still not letting loose the belief that somehow we are related to apes.

NAKED apes! NAKED apes!
Woo-hoo!
No, you just seem to have a problem forming letters into words, words into sentences, and sentences into understanding.
Well, this guy is actually in the right track. Problem, common ancestor is the core of the Evolution theory, not the simplistic view you put at the beginning.
Chimps and humans are apes.
No competent science teacher claims man came from a monkey or a chimp, although there are probably some incompetent ones who might say so. After all, the authors of the creationist "textbook", Of Pandas and People , made a similar error with humans, frogs and worms.
Humans, chimps and monkeys evolved from an extinct common ancestor. This hasn't been changed since Darwin.
The brighter among us are "somehow" related to apes, specifically chimps and bonobos. Our DNA and theirs is almost 99% identical. However, none of us would care to hazard a guess as to what you're related to.
"Creationists claim that evolution teaches stuff like man from monkey or chimp as if it was a fact, then when corrected they change from monkey or chimp to apes as they find they were wrong. Then, since they realize that all of these and some of the future strawmen are complete bullshit, they use "intelligent design" to cover a wide field of ignorance. But they are still not letting loose the belief that somehow we are made out of mud and ribs."
Fixt.
Fine. I will completely and totally renounce my belief in the Theory of Evolution on one condition. You have God create another man from dirt. Just one. That's all I ask. He did it once, it shouldn't be a problem for him to do it again, right?
Sorry, no, we are not merely related to apes.
We ARE apes.
What you describe here is your line of straw men, lined up for the battle, but most had already been disrupted before they were deployed.
Chimpanzees and homo sapience are more closely related than any other now living apes.
you, yourself, are an ape. You are related to chimps, gorillas, orangutans and bonobos thro7ugh a very distant ancestor. Much farther back you may be related to the banana and grapefruit.
“They teach stuff like man from monkey or chimp as if it was a fact,”
Neither one of those was ever taught as a fact.
“then they change from monkey or chimp to apes as they find they were wrong.”
No, we’re apes, it’s always been apes.
“Then since they realize that all of these and some of the future assumptions are suspect to change, they use "common ancestor" to cover a wide field of creatures.”
You’re confusing two completely different things as if they were the same claim.
“But they are still not letting loose the belief that somehow we are related to apes.”
We IS apes. Not somehow. Apes is what we are.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
