Our founding fathers warned us repeatedly to never let this day come, but the day has now come upon us. I mean, think about it. The Democratic Party on [inaudible] when Barack Obama ran, they literally booed God out of the Democratic Party. I mean, not only ran Him out and took His name out of their platform, they booed Him out. So, you get what you ask for, so here we are. So the bottom line is, [when someone said they] entertain the thought of maybe voting for Hillary Clinton, I said, they ran God out of the Democratic Party. She has a hard time telling the truth because the Evil One is the Father of Lies, according to Jesus, and she’s living proof of it, my man.

The founding fathers mostly had no intention of allowing your religion to rule, this is actual history, something your kind know nothing about or are simply being intentionally dishonest about.
This shits a complete phony, there is nothing genuine about this parody of a human being. He hasn't done anything for a decade but talk the same dozen lines of bullshit repeatedly. Is this your idols America? This shit and Trump?
He's talking about what happened at the 2012 convention when they were voting on changing the language in the platform. The "god" language that had already been removed in a previous convention and a vote was taken to put it back in as well as a statement about an affirmation of Jerusalem being the capital of Israel. Why the fuck we need to be mucking about that in shit in a secular nation and making political statements about a particular country in a platform that is essentially supposed to be about general guidelines and policies is beyond me. Why single out Israel and not list every country/region that's having internal conflict and provide a position then? Well, it's because the more religious elements of the Democrat party like the RR can't stand not having statements supporting their religious views in it.
I'm not going to dig up the video but I recall when it was in the news cycle and it seemed clear to me at the time that the vocal nay vote did indeed "outvote" the aye vote to amend the platform and stick the religious crap back in. The chair repeated the vocal vote two more times further confusing the outcome and who then claimed the ayes won which prompted all the booing. It wasn't "booing their god" it was booing a bullshit decision by those running the show who ignored the general will of the majority vote so they could have what they wanted.
Dems Quickly Switch to Include "God," "Jerusalem"
@Raspberry
If I remember, the main reason they voted to put that language into their platform was because the Republicans were making such a big stink about them not having it, after the Republican Party, of course, included language about Christianity being the official religion and Jerusalem the capitol of Israel in their platform. If the Democrats had the backbone to tell the Repubs to stuff it, I might have registered as one. But no, they chickened out and acquiesced to the religious right.

What day is that? The day the US turns into a Christian theocracy? The Founding Fathers didn't mention God or Jesus, either. They said "no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States" and "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"
Sometimes I think these guys have the Puritan colonists and The Founding Fathers confused.
They seem to do the same with The U.S. Constitution and the Law of Moses.
I'm glad they're finally dying out. I can't wait to witness the VERY MUCH INEVITABLE scene of one HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON on the steps of the U.S. Capital, surrounded by throngs of supporters, with her right hand raised....
...and tht was a Partly Political Broadcast on behalf of the Fart Party.
Now you've made a statement about Wiggy, tell us about the Abrahamic deity: or do you think that Donny is the Second Coming?!
FAIL Robertson indeed. >:D
@Doubting Thomas
Yeah, I suspect it was some of both but the scenario you describe is probably a lot closer to the truth, or rather the primary reason. The DNC wanted to avoid the rhetoric of the GOP calling them the "godless" party rather than having the backbone to stand up and be inclusive, ya know, secular like the US constitution which supports the ideal behind that form of governance.
The founding fathers explicitly wrote an instruction manual for a secular society.
And who cares what they thought? They also allowed slavery. They were simply men with ideas, some good and some bad. Stop treating them as though they are some sort of demigods with infallibility.
Beardy The Duck Guy; You and your four Preppy Faux-Hillbilly sons are as Christian as Yog-Sothoth!
The GOP, The Constitution Party, The KKK, The Russian Orthodox Church, certain factions in The Vatican, any bad corrupt destructive Church institution, etc. is ANTICHRIST INCARNATE!
"No True Scotsman" be damned! THEY AREN'T TRUE CHRISTIANS!
