I have been blessed with a most Godly daughter. She has been raised to love the Lord and she, as I, believes in the word of God. She has told me in no uncertain terms that she wishes she didn't live in the United States and that she had not been born in this century.
Her reasons, in part, are as follows:
[...]
She recently told me she wishes she lived in "one of those countries where girls and women can wear one of those things that would cover me up, Mom. You know, one of those things where boys and men can't see what my body looks like so they can stare at me or make rude comments to me about my breasts and stuff."
She was referring to a chardor, for crying out loud!
Wake up! This is a beautiful just-turned-eighteen year old girl! My daughter is as pure as driven snow, having been raised without the influence of Hollywood's garbage. We don't have television and don't want it. We don't go to the movies. She doesn't read the newpapers because she hates the bra and underwear ads in it.
And you wonder why a woman would want to "hide" behind a scarf!!! ????
Wake up.

No movies, no television, no newspapers and she wouldn't even read a newspaper because of the underwear ads?
No wonder that she thinks that she will be better of in some foreign country where women dress up in chardors. She probably doesn't know that it isn't always based on a choice of their own to wear those clothes.
And maybe she just needs to get out more or get other friends. There are enough boys and men who aren't "rude" about your body.
geez, do you guys live next to a construction site or something? You'd be amazed how many guys don't care about being "rude" to women. I agree with the Fundy Stockholm Syndrome award. Seriously, how brainwashed must this kid be? At EIGHTEEN!!!
Time to take a good, hard look at yourself, mum and dad.
that clothing site is the single most hilarious thing i've seen in a long, long time.
ps, i really want to cry for this girl being described. it's absolutely repulsive that this is what her father has turned her into.
But she is free to dress that way if she wishes. One of the beauties of living in a free(ish) society as opposed to, say, a theocracy.
As for the clothing site, it is not really christian. Those women are sinfully smiling. And the photographers took trouble to make their images eye-catching. No, those people are going to hell for their lustful ways.
Are the authorities aware of this? You should be locked up for child abuse. Your daughter is 18, and will be approaching 50 before she realizes how badly you have fucked her over. You should be ashamed, dickwit!
Wake up, indeed!
"one of those countries where girls and women can wear one of those things that would cover me up, Mom. You know, one of those things where boys and men can't see what my body looks like so they can stare at me or make rude comments to me about my breasts and stuff."
So, what you're saying is, in addition to the normal teenager insecurities about their bodies, you've given your daughter such an emotional complex that she doesn't want ANYONE to see her body, and she doesn't want to look at, or hear about, any part of anyone's body.
You sick, evil fuck.
Holy Chrsit on a stick!
I thought the one I worked with was bad. You mention pussy, sex, or swear any word or combination of letters that sounded like a swear word and she'd spaz, cover her ears and proceed with "I'm not listening, I'm not listening, I'm not listening,"
Your daughter should read a newspaper so that she can understand horribly repressed and oppressed lives women lead in the countries where they're forced to cover themselves.
In Saudi Arabia last week a woman was gang raped. The men responsible received 50 lashes. The woman? 90 lashes, because she'd been in the car of a man not her father or her brother before the rape.
so jodi tell me...does this daughter of your cut herself? it seems to me that not being raised with TV, movies or newspapers would be hard to do. what about the internet or as you fundies call it "the devils somethin er other"? do you have that? because that would be just as helpful in telling youd daughter what an idiot she is for wanting to live where she is required to wear a chador. so get her a chador, a plane ticket to iran and send her there, lets see how long she lasts being a) american and b) christian.
I tried to come up with a witty response, but I'm just too sad for that girl.
Our Father, who art in heaven, why can't You exist just long enough to send certain fundy parents to hell?
Your point being?
Your kid is sheltered, naïve, socially stunted and not equipped to deal with the modern world thanks to you. Add into the equation a marked conviction that all blame for sexual harassment lies with the victims, and there you have your answer. I feel for her.
That, madam, is child abuse! I don't wonder for one second why your daughter would want to hide behind a niqab, burka or chador; it's YOUR fault, as you have been hiding her from real life since she was born. It must have been a real shock to her to suddenly be eyed by boys and men, when you finally let her out.
Oh, and a hijab is a scarf, and it merely covers the hair and neck, not the body. Neither burka, niqab nor chador is a scarf. I bet you can wear a chador in the US, if you really want to. I've seen women with foot-long voluminous dresses and coats and hijabs in my little town in Sweden.
YOU need to wake up, asshole, and see that you have destroyed your daughter. The only place she will feel at home is in a monastery.
Close your eyes now, Jodi's daughter, here comes breasts! Better close your ears as well...
Ruin your day with tits
