[On a church canceling a man's funeral after learning he was gay.]
They had to know a missionary baptist church might have a problem with it.
I have to think this was done deliberately in hopes of furthering the gay agenda.

I suppose that the Rosa Parks bus debacle was "done deliberately in hopes of furthering the black agenda," too, right?
I mean, look, MLK Jr was a socialist (OBVIOUS COMMIE) who hung out with a gay guy, too!
*Fundie mode OFF*
I've just read the entire thread, and you can certainly tell that they are christains by their (lack of) love!
What did their god say about turning people away......?
So, he died on purpose, so that his funeral could be held at a homophobic church, just to bring attention to it's homophobia? Sure, and Elvis is still alive, but is being held captive by Bigfoot.
*coughs* Actually, Goomy, what Rosa Parks did WAS planned. The story of one brave, fed up woman standing up on her own is one of our modern myths.
Hell, it even got spoofed on The Boondocks how there were other protestors refusing to give up their seats, but how the focused on the woman of the group.
Once a gay person dies, the gay cooties quickly leave the body, and the church didn't want to get all those gay cooties in the building because they're very hard to get rid of. Next thing you know all the parishioners would be infected with the gay.
1- While it is a church and they have the right to determine who can and can't hold weddings, funerals, etc. withing their building, the timing of their cancellation only demonstrates what a cold hearted bigot the pastor is.
2- The only agenda the gays have is to be treated equally with the same rights, protections, and freedoms that straight people enjoy.
The funny thing is they didn't pick that church, their first choice was too small to hold all the people so the pastor recommended another one that accepted them at first, but then denied them when he learned the deceased was gay.
@chishiro
OK, so even if a gay person is denied a service in a planned affair to further equality, in the future people won't give a shit, and the Christian fundies will say, "It was us conservatives, not you lieberals, who gave the gays equal rights. You lieberals worked to keep them from marrying!" even though our memories serve well enough to say that's utter bullshit.
Works well either way. *shrugs*
But yeah, Dr. King was a socialist who closely associated with a gay guy.
@Goomy
I know, that's part of what made him so awesome. Coretta Scott King was an avid supporter of equal rights until the day she died.
The world could use a few like the Kings right now.
*Also, I think this family had no intention what so ever of this clusterfuck happening.They wanted to be able to mourn their loved one in peace. I just think Rosa Parks was even more the badass for knowing she was putting her neck on the line before she even got on the bus, and then doing it anyway.
@chishiro
Okay, NOW I see what you mean by planned. You mean that she planned what she would do, not "false-flag" style planning. So you mean, basically, that Rosa Parks planned what she would do, but the bus driver wasn't complicit. Originally I thought you meant he was.
But yeah, MLK Jr. was AWESOME.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
