Why haven't all single cell organisms, fish, monkeys evolved into people? You can put all Irishmen in Egypt and their offspring will NEVER evolve into Egyptians. If man eats chicken every day for eternity he'll never evolve into a chicken. Evolution is not proven it's a weak theory. If faced with the option of believing in something greater than mankind and being wrong, or believing only in man's ability to evolve and being wrong, I'll take my chances with Jesus!

...because in the end, we all taste like chicken.
In the words of Adam Sandler, "If an egg can fit in there, why can't I?".
Well, yeah, I mean, like, you couldn't take a whole buncha Irishmen and Norskies and Polacks and Jews and Africans and stuff and like, take 'em to America and expect 'em to evolve into Americans, couldja?
You can put all Irishmen in Egypt and their offspring will NEVER evolve into Egyptians.
So if everyone came from Adam and Eve, how did some of them become Egyptians and some Irishmen? Was there some kind of second creation?
If man eats chicken every day for eternity he'll never evolve into a chicken.
That's true. And if Jews circumcise their sons for 4,000 years, they're still born with foreskins. What has that to do with evolution?
Why haven't all single cell organisms, fish, monkeys evolved into people?
Ecosystems with only one species don't work too well.
You can put all Irishmen in Egypt and their offspring will NEVER evolve into Egyptians.
If they interbreed with the locals, they will.
If man eats chicken every day for eternity he'll never evolve into a chicken.
Non sequitur. Evolution does not work that way.
Evolution is not proven it's a weak theory.
If you ignore the evidence and the details of theory, then it has not been proven (to you).
If faced with the option of believing in something greater than mankind and being wrong, or believing only in man's ability to evolve and being wrong, I'll take my chances with Jesus!
Happy being wrong, eh?
"Why haven't all single cell organisms, fish, monkeys evolved into people?"
Because people do not fill the ecological niches of single cell organisms, fish and monkeys... except maybe you.
"You can put all Irishmen in Egypt and their offspring will NEVER evolve into Egyptians."
Well, if he becomes an Egyptian citizen, he is an Egyptian. Nothing to do with evolution though.
"If man eats chicken every day for eternity he'll never evolve into a chicken."
Notice that none of the people who understand and accept the ToE ever said that an organism evolves into what it consumes.
"Evolution is not proven it's a weak theory."
The ToE is a very solid, well-supported theory. Your punctuation is weak.
"If faced with the option of believing in something greater than mankind and being wrong, or believing only in man's ability to evolve and being wrong, I'll take my chances with Jesus!"
I bet you think that sounds very wise and logical, don't you? It is neither.
Has anyone ever done a study relating number of times dropped on the head as a baby to fundieism? Gee everybody in AMERICA is a descendant of a Pre-Columbian native right?PS Cleopatra, arguably the most famous Egyptian ever, was Ptolemiac Greek. A person is eventually defined by the country they live in, not their native genesis.
If faced with the option of believing in something greater than mankind and being wrong, or believing only in man's ability to evolve and being wrong, I'll take my chances with Allah ! There. Fixed it for you.
Actually, if you put all the Irish in Egypt, wait several thousand years, then come back, you won't be able to tell the difference between the Egyptians and the Irish. (Hell, if you allow the Irish to imtermarry with the Egyptians, it will happen a lot faster than that.)
No one ever said evolution and environmental adaptation of species happens fast. Besides, the whole Irish becoming like Egyptians is an example of species environmental adaptation, not evolution. Irish to Egyptian is not a change from one species to another, unless, of course, you are so racist that you believe one or the other is not actualy "human."
I'm reading a book by Gould which addressed this issue in this guy's first sentence. The problem is that so many people think of evolution as a ladder, with humanity at the inevitable top. That's not the case; humans are just one small branch on the tree of life on Earth, and will not inevitably arise on any other planet with life.
Evolution does not have built into it a goal of humanity which it tries to move toward. It doesn't even have a goal of consciousness.
The only goal that evolution has is to make gene machines that can best continue themselves over time.
So, if you put Irish men in Egypt, and they bred with the local population, dark hair and skin would never show up in their offspring?
OK.
If Irish babies were torn from their parents and sent to live in Egypt, then they'd be white-skinned Egyptians in regards to cultural beliefs, etc. Just need to marry an Egyptian and have children, and you have an Irish-Egyptian kid. Tada!
That also has nothing to do with evolution, moron.
And, just what would be the point of all animal life consisting of only the human species? Biodiversity sustains life on earth; even earthworms are necessary (to enrich and turn the soil that is essential to growing crops).
Of course, there are some lifeforms we could do without. Mean-spirited, lying fundies come to mind.
Evolution doesn't work that way! It's not a ladder. Every organism is perfect for its environment right now.
If the environment changes, the organisms who fit that new circumstance will prosper more.
Man is very poorly fit to fill the space that a fox fills. For that particular space the fox is the evolutionary top, right now.
A world with nothing but people in it would be a world filled with cannibals. For a short while, until we ran out of oxygen, as there would be no plants to turn our exhalations back to oxygen-filled air.
If you move to Egypt and become a naturalized citizen, you are by definition an Egyptian.
Evolution is one of the strongest scientific theories.
We do not need to believe in the ability of organisms to evolve, we can just observe the nylon-eating bacteria, and antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
"You can put all Irishmen in Egypt and their offspring will NEVER evolve into Egyptians."
So I guess your ancestors who travelled to America means that you aren't an American? My ancestor was a Norman knight who came to Britain in 1079. So I'm not English?
"If man eats chicken every day for eternity he'll never evolve into a chicken."
Fact: Usain Bolt eats chicken nuggets every day.

I suspect we are already seeing the emergence of Homo Superior .
"I'ld rather be happy than right any day"
"You don't sound very happy."
"No, I'm not. That's where it all falls down I'm afraid."

“Why haven't all single cell organisms, fish, monkeys evolved into people?”
Good question. is this meant to be a criticism of evolutionary theory? All it takes is the fact that mutations are random, not part of a guided plan, to answer that.
“You can put all Irishmen in Egypt and their offspring will NEVER evolve into Egyptians.”
If people are having offspring in Egypt, doesn’t that MAKE them Egyptians?
" If man eats chicken every day for eternity he'll never evolve into a chicken.”
Individuals don’t evolve, no.
“Evolution is not proven it's a weak theory"
It’s one of the best-supported theories that science has.
Are we playing opposite day?
“If faced with the option of believing in something greater than mankind and being wrong, or believing only in man's ability to evolve and being wrong, I'll take my chances with Jesus!”
Pascal’s Wager has many possible results, most of them suboptimal. And we leap from pretending to care about the science to covering your own ass in the face of a judgmental fuckwit of a god.
Confused?
