[On Supreme Court refusing to hear appeals against same-sex marriage]
I've often compared all this to the Babylonian exile and captivity. There is a difference. The Babylonians were pussy cats compared to what we are facing.
Well, okay then. Take heart and honor God regardless.

Being slaughtered and having the remnants of one's people enslaved is nothing compared to the supreme court saying "enough of this back-and-forth bullshit already! They can get married, too! Fucking deal with it" ?
You are clearly too stupid to be allowed to think unassisted anymore. Please empty your mind until the state can appoint you a certified helper. Shouldn't be too hard, I'm guessing.

Yeah, because in the Babylonian exile and captivity, people didn't have to live with thinking all day about what married gay men do in their bedroom.
You're right, cleoshep. Christians are persecuted in the world today. They are persecuted in Islamist countries, along with other infidels. They are persecuted in North Korea, along with other non Kim worshippers. And the church faces pressure from the state in China, although it doesn't compare to the latter examples.
Christians are not, however, persecuted in America. I challenge Christian fundamentalist beliefs, but that is not even remotely comparable to what happens in other parts of the world. You wouldn't last a day facing real persecution, and you mock those Christians who are persecuted every time you come within a few meters of a keyboard. Good day sir.
cleoshep: Yeah, the jews and other people persecuted by the Nazis have no idea what it's like to be a modern Christian and be constantly raped by sodomites as they throw us into death camps.
PvS: Umm... I think it's just gay marriage.
cleoshep: Same difference, really.
We're not even asking you to do anything except let other people get married who couldn't before. You are required to do nothing and expend nothing. Hell, we're not even asking you to stop being colossal dicks about it, I mean hey, more fuel for this site.
Ever tried to go against a pussy cat? I have; it usually ends with a lot of bloody scratches and PAIN! You do know that pussy cats are relatives of Tigers and Lions, right?
How do you take heart?
Sweden is one of the most secular countries in the world. We still have a couple of monasteries and nunneries. I live some 30 kilometers away from Vadstena, where St Bridget's relics is stored (I've seen the shrine). I also have a colleague who grew up in Sweden's Bible Belt, but is now an atheist. About a month ago, when I went to a surplus store in my county, a Bridgettine nun was ahead of me in the queue. The point I'm trying to make is that we might think or say "oh look, a nun", but then we go on with our daily life. If she chose to be a nun, that's her prerogative. I don't understand it, but I still respect it.
"I've often compared all this to the Babylonian exile and captivity."
You've also compared it to Nazi Germany, Jim Crow, ebola and a nigger president. You're like a moron. Oh wait, you are one.
I love how all these people opposing gay marriage compare themselves to the good guys of history, I really do.
Cleo, you're not FACING the Babylonians; you ARE the Babylonians. You're the persecutors. You're the villains. You're the evil ones here.
DOMA ruled un constitutional. The precedent was set. The die is cast. As in one state, therefore all must fall into line. Same-sex marriage is constitutional , as per the 10th Amendment.
The ancient Babylonians had the Code of Hammurabi.
There is no difference.
@Nemo
And when their 'Lord' tarries so, there's always Persecution Whoring via the Courts. Just ask the WBC, Good News Clubs, and Helen Ukpabio, cleoshit.
Confused?
