No, in "real life" people marry because they love each other, and wish to dedicate their lives to one another. Sometimes children are the result, sometimes not. Children are not a prerequisite for marriage.

No it's not. It bestows a host of legal rights that are extremely difficult to lie up otherwise, not the least of which being granted Next of Kin status, and the ability to step in and make decisions, should your partner be incapacitated. Hell, unless the couple is married, a partner cannot stay with his or her significant other in the hospital, as they aren't technically "family."
IF you are saying that guays are supposed to be allowed to have children (by adoption for exemple) then you must be f*cking out of ure minds...

But everyone has the right to become one. no one is outright banned from being an astronaut until they prove themselves unfit. Likewise, sexual predators, the criminally negligent and the likes...should be banned from adopting, and rightfully so. But until there is reason to doubt that someone can carry out parental duties (and no, TEH GHEY is not a reason) they should be given equal consideration.
