You seem to cast the opponents of gay marriage in the image of the Nazis. I see it as the other way around. WE are the lonely voices. WE are the ones that are in danger of being silenced. Don't let the Nazi's persecution of homosexuals (and everybody else who didn't fit their image) blind you. This time the shoe is on the other foot. Or maybe I should say the boot? And the day may come, and soon, when we're the ones getting kicked.

- You seem to miss the irony of what you have written. Gays don't fit your image. You cast yourself as Nazi! How odd that the truth outs itself in such an unexpected way. But then irony is not a strong point in American humour by and large.

You're not fucking persecuted if you're not allowed to persecute other people, for crying out loud. People, I might add, who aren't doing anything to affect you. But stating how 'horrible' gayness is certainly effects them.

That thread is ridiculous. First they say that all sins are equal in God's eyes, so it makes perfect sense to equate any sin with another. Hideously torturing a rape victim, and being grumpy in the morning, are JUST AS BAD. Homosexuality and murder are equal sins, as well. They don't explain though, why they get up in arms over the 'sin of homosexuality' and don't get near as upset at the 'sin of being too eager to get that morning coffee'.
