"It is unconstitutional and completely inappropriate for Troup County Comprehensive High School to host a fundamentalist Christian speaker"!? Say what now?
"he found it astounding that FFRF asserted that people of faith should be “disqualified” from speaking in public schools out of assumptions about the content of their speech." !!
Did the Nazi Liberals abolish the Constitution already?
Yeah, sounds more and more like the kind of discrimination and intolerance one would find in Iran, doesn't it? And for the same reason.
Atheists and Muslims loathe Christianity with a passion and will desperately attempt anything and everything to silence it. BECAUSE IT'S THE TRUTH.
And Satan hates the truth above all else. It's all out war against Christianity but everything else is fine. Go figure.

"out of assumptions about the content of their speech." !!"
This your new stunt? The fundamentalist Christian speaker has come to give a speech about pencils and broccoli and probably won't veer of into sermons about salvation through Christ and eternal damnation?
"How were we to know he'd get all preachy? Opps,"
i do dislike xianity, but i wouldn't say i'm passionate about it. too many other religions around, all of them equally wrong, to get hung up on any one of 'em. and no, i don't want to silence them; i want to convince people to give their delusions up and live in reality. that's rather a much trickier feat.
Oh yes. Because clearly the fundamentalist Christian -- a person who by the very definition of the title lives the entirety of their life in keeping (as far as they're concerned, at least) with the teachings of the Bible -- wanted to talk about something that had nothing to do with their god. A god who commanded them to preach to anyone and everyone they could whenever they could. It's not like there's a time-honored tradition of them using events like this to preach to captive audiences.
Oh wait. That's right. This is our reality. You couldn't even get though the whole of your brief denial that he'd just start preaching without falling into preaching, yourself. So tell me, Last Chump: why do you support the direct violation of our constitution?
If a Jewish, Pagan, Muslim or Hindu religious practice can not be forced upon children during the course of their school day, you have to understand that yours can't either.
The laws apply to all of us. You people thinking that your religion grants you status and privileges the rest of us don't have, doesn't make it fucking so .
You aren't special little snowflakes that Jesus gave special rights. You're a confederacy of assclowns upon which religion has placed oppressive rules and demanded intellectual suicide.
Big difference.
But if the High School hosted a fundamentalist Muslim speaker, or an atheist speaker planning to prove there were no gods, you'd be the first in line to protest, right?
What's the matter, no church is willing to host the fundamentalist Christian speaker?
Did the Nazi Liberals abolish the Constitution already?
No, Stupid Trumpy, they're enforcing it! Also, "Nazi Liberal" is like saying "Warmongering Hippie".
I'd love to know what Constitution, Founding Fathers or Jesus these frums are talking about. It sure as heck isn't the 18th Century secular document written by 18th Century secular statesmen or a 2000-year-old quasi-proto-hippie Nazarene Jew who didn't force his new Reform Judaism on others.
All I can say is that it's just Newspeak and these guys are Antichrist worshipers who are referring to the 17th Century Pilgrim/Puritan settlers.

It's not unconstitutional for a church or any private organization to host a fundamentalist Christian speaker - why not have the speaker there? I'll answer for you: because you don't give a rat's butt about your fellow fundamentalist Christians having access to the speech - you want to push your religious beliefs onto a captive audience of other people's children.
BTW, if the speaker is allowed, then you can expect pagans, Unitarians and other religious groups you don't approve of to demand the same privilege. That's what always happens in these cases, and then people understand why the First Amendment is a good idea: keep government out of religion.
@Gloomy: Have you not seen the wingnut claim that's been circulating for a few years now? They claim Nazis were really liberals because they had "socialist" in their name.
Of course this requires utter ignorance of history, but these are the same people who think David Barton is a reputable scholar.
"he found it astounding that FFRF asserted that people of faith should be “disqualified” from speaking in public schools out of assumptions about the content of their speech." !!
Because 99.999% of the time whenever you have a fundamentalist Christian speaker, they will talk about God and their religion. You can't tell me that someone who lists themselves as a Christian speaker isn't planning on preaching about God.
Smug prick, this guy. Go read all his other submissions. You just want to smack him in the head.
"Satan hates the truth above all else"...boy, these guys are REALLY experts on what Jesus hates and what Satan loves, aren't they?
"Yeah, sounds more and more like the kind of discrimination and intolerance one would find in Iran, doesn't it?"
No, in Iran ONLY fundamentalist speakers would be allowed in any school. Just like in your fap fantasies.
Confused?
