Yesterday my wife and I were watching O'Reilly and he mention an issue with many college students now going down to Texas and having orgies and exposing themselves nude in public. It wasn't too long after that that we saw the must current weather report that more than 15 tornados had also been seen or touched down in Texas. Now...I don't know everything, but shouldn't someone majoring in Medicine be able to figure this out?

Question to our American posters: did 15 tornadoes really touch down? If they did, how strong are they and how densly populated are the areas they touched down?
Next point: Assuming it happened, God's got a lousy aim. I didn't hear anything about wild mayhem, which would happen if 15 tornadoes go wreaking havoc. We actually get international news over here.
Ah..I see, in that little fundie brain of yours you think the reason why tornados touched down in Texas is because students go down to Texas to have orgies. And the tornado is just a way to punish them. Am I right?
NotMe: I think it depends, tornado sizes can vary. The average tornado size in the US is about 500 feet (150m) across. Some tornados can be a mile wide.
I think the poster was thinking about violent tornados. If it had been more than 15 tornados that touched down on Texas I'm guessing most of them had been weak.
We get international news as well, many people just don't pay attention to it.
Oh, come on. Texas always has the biggest, best, or most of anything...ever. Just ask any Texan. :) It stands to reason that they'd have the most tornadoes.
Funny, he should hear about the shit that happens up here in NY.
No earthquakes, no tornados, occasional bad snow storm. Not to bad. But of course we happen to know what we're doing. Perhaps god is upset because they aren't doing it right?
And dollars to doughnuts, not a single one of the students having orgies was hit by that tornado. So much for the perfect, omnipotent God, right?
Your first mistake was believing anything that windbag O'Reilly said. He's a notorious liar.
Your second mistake was linking drunken university student behavior to weather phenomena of any kind. There are drunken university students in every university on the planet, many of whom never experience weather extremes of any kind.
If God existed and was pissed off by wanton sexual conduct, Las Vegas and Amsterdam, to name but two, would be smoldering ruins.
You lose.
You are absolutely 100% correct. Now, if you and your wife don't stop watching that evil scumbag Bill "Lucifer lover" O'Reilly and those purveyors of Satan at FOXGOPNEWS, God just might decide to send one his tornadoes down your street!
Why haven't I - living in Texas, you know - heard about this? If it's Austin... Austin is an exception.
Besides, the tornadoes didn't hit Austin and had nothing to do with Austin. Weather is weather, sin is socially constructed, and you lose.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Texas a highly religious state? Would God punish a majority of believers for what a few sinners do? OK, rethorical question, he would, the real question is: Do you find that acceptable behaviour from an allegedly benevolent god?
Guys, by "someone majoring in Medicine," I think he just means "medicine men," or Native American shamans, who would be able to tell the nude orgiasts how to do this properly so that they'll be doing a Rain Dance instead of a Tornado Dance. I can see how the two might get mixed up a little.
Either that, or he's just crackers. My money's on the latter, actually.

OK, so Texas, a highly religious state, home state of George Bush and the apparent site of the occasional orgies from out-of-state students, has the most tornadoes.
I seem to remember that some of the Fundies quoted here consider San Francisco the most immoral place in thet USA. I think it was considered by one Fundie to be such a den of iniquity any visitor should wear some sort of biohazard suit to avoid catching AIDS. How many tornadoes does San Francisco have? Huh? Huh?
Could be God is sending a message, and it isn't the people of San Francisco that he is angry with.
Or perhaps tornadoes have nothing to do with God?
Texas happens to be in tornado alley along with Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, etc. Funny enough tornado alley seems to match up fairly well with ye olde bible belt.
Joan was quizzical,
Studied metaphysical
Science in the home,
Late nights all alone with a test tube, oh!
Maxwell Edison, majoring in medicine,
Calls her on the phone:
Can I take you out to the pictures, Joan?
Edit: Now, this is creepy. I read this post to my significant other, just now, and I heard her singing this under her breath just as I finished and hit "Submit."
Right,,,,
Because Gods pissed and apparently throws tornados like a girl, never once hitting the target. At least this guys got the same state, a lot of these God's vengence claims try to connect gay activity in Maine to drought in Kansas
You watched "O'Lie-ly" and believed what he said? Well, there's your first problem.
Haven't students done stupid things, ALWAYS? Well, at least since after WWII, when "teenagers" was sort of invented. Before that, being young was something you ought to get over with as soon as possible.
Sweden is one of the least religious countries on Earth, and we are (or were at least, some thirty years ago) know for the "Swedish Sin". I've never experienced a tornado, as far as I know. And from what I've heard, you KNOW if you're experiencing a tornado.
Why should people majoring in Medicine know about weather phenomenons? I think you're the one who need to figure things out, honey.
Confused?
