It is time 2 know our weapons. Its time 2 learn the scriptures for they are as sharp as a double edge sword.

Our chief weapon is surprise!
...Surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our three weapons are fear, and surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope....
Our four...no... Amongst our weapons.... Hmf... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surpr.... I'll come in again.
Curious metaphor that double-edged sword.
Plus, the scriptures are a dull, bent sword made of chrome-plated Korean cheese.
Numbers 11:19-20
"Now the Lord will give you meat, and you will eat it. You will not eat it for just one day, or two days, or five, ten, or twenty days, but for a whole month - until it comes out of your nostrils and you loathe it - because you have rejected the Lord, who is among you..."
I'm just not seeing it.
Time to drop the H-bomb of truth on these primitive fuckers!
btw all, the knob end is paraphrasing Ephesians 6.
I much prefer the crap about donning the breastplate of righteousness myself.
This reminds of that scene in the movie 'Saved!' where one of the characters screams, holding a Bible - "this is not a weapon!"
It may be a movie, but it's true. The Bible is not a weapon.
Number of keystrokes saves by substituting "2" for "to": two
Is it really worth it to type like that and make yourself look like an illiterate ass?
Even more so when trying to discuss a _book_?
In a way he's right. They're a double blade sword, because they may convert a lot of people or, and I'm afraid that he's more keen on that latter option, the total opposite.
As a practicing Christian, I agree. One should study the Scriptures, for they hold the components of our faith. However, in studying the Scriptures, you don't not simply read them from the Bible and proclaim they are true. It also helps to study the context in which they were written, as well as their meaning.
I thought a lot of double edged swords weren't sharp (well, European ones at least), as you'd just ruin the blade it it hit something hard, like metal armor . Course the expression is used to mean it cuts both ways... and how he's using it is appropriate, as you can use the scripture as a weapon against the bible thumpers, what with all it's contradictions.
I never thought I'd see someone so stupid they use Lloyd Irving logic...("Two swords means twice the power, right?")
Unintentional Truth Award, this deserves.
Considering some of these people, they would be terrible with their swords. Half of them would hit themselves, and the other half would hit each other. Whoever remains would just try to club the enemy with the flat sides of the sword.
Confused?
