People usually use this philosophy to defend their beliefs in aliens. We have no idea how big the universe is, because God is amazing and i believe that the universe was made for us to explore and discover new things, ideas, and inventions. Just because the univrse is big doesn't mean that there are aliens. If there were aliens, it would've said that God made them in the Bible. The bible says, "God made the heavens, and the earth" heavens meaning the universe, but earth meaning: the only special little tiny planet that's inhabitible. If there were aliens, the Bible would've said "God made the heavens, the Earth, and mars." or something like that.

If the bronze age goat herders had thought of it, they probably would have added it. But they thought Mars was just a point of light in the "firmament". They didn't know it was a planet. That's how we know the Bible was written by bronze age men. God would have known better.
The bible doesn't mention computers, either, but they exist.
As to aliens, I've never seen one, but the imensity of the universe almost assures that we are not alone.
This planet isn't that special, mate.
Probably God thought that they were not able to meet them in quite a lot of time. Hey, he didn't mention the Native American, the black people living from the Atlas downwards or Chinese or Australian people.
"God mad the heavens, the Earth, and Ares."
When you put it this way, whats wrong with this sentence?
Obviously, God didn't mention aliens in the bible because it would spoil the ending.
I mean, he made the whole universe for us to explore, what's the point in exploring if we already know what's out there?
"Houston, we are now approaching the first planet of the Horsehead nebula, according to the bible we'll find a race of blue squirrel-people who only eat rocks living here, I'll lose the ship to their leader in a game of strip poker, and Ensign R. Edd Shirt will die holding off their guards while we steal it back to escape"
I'm confused. Are you saying that Mars doesn't exist, either? Or are you suggesting that this is the only planet in an (as near as anyone knows) infinite void of "space" with any potentially intelligent life. As they said in the movie "Contact," what a waste of space...
You guys have it all wrong. What I meant was that the Scriptures single out the Earth as something special, and then they go on to prove it by listing all the forms of life God created on the Earth.
Yes, I believe other planets exist. Don't be silly. But the Bible doesn't single out any other planet or talk about life on them except for the Earth.
The only other forms of life that we don't come into contact with are those of the spiritual realm; angels and fall angels.
You have a major problem. Your scriptures have been written by men who were ignorant about the natural world, who entertained being the center of the universe and craved for the attention of an alleged all-powerful deity that is also a human invention. This means that the scriptures are a bad source to infer anything about the natural world and the discovery of knowledge, science. False premises, leading to false conclusions. It also leads to very conflicting arguments. You pretend that an incredibly large universe was only created for us, but that we're its sole purpose. You claim that we're supposed to explore it, but! If we explore it too much and discover things that contradicts old mythology, it's too much. Like the humbling fact that we have evolved, that we're not the center of the universe, that our solar system is one among many, even true for our galaxy.
That's also why those ancient humans didn't write about other planets they had no idea existed. And why they ignored that we had evolved.
About alleged other beings, it's logical that since life developped here, abiogenesis, it may also have happened elsewhere in the huge old universe. Still, it's considered unlikely that we would ever discover and meet other intelligent E.T. life, because of the rarity and incredible distances involved.
Confused?
