Well, Mitt Romney is your only possibly credible candidate to beat Obama next year.
If Romney is selected - to appeal to the all-important moderate Republican/Swing-voters, he'll alienate the Teabaggers. Yet, if they select a Teabagger candidate (Batscat Shelly, Mike Fuckabee), they'll alienate the moderates/swing-voters. Yet, if Shelly/Fuckabee tone down their Teabagger bullshit to appeal to said moderates/swing-voters (as they'll have no choice but to do so, next year), they'll be dropped faster than a towel with a skidmark on it by their Teabagger bum-chums.
Seems that Obama has nothing to worry about next year.
Enjoy your paradox/Catch-22, Religious Right, Teabaggers, Neocunts, Redneck trailer-trash et al. PROTIP: You lot once considered John McCain to be the worst RINO out there. If he was the best the Repubicans/GOP could come up with to oppose Obama previously, the next sound you'll hear is that of metal scraping against concrete. Because - even with Romney - they'll have gone through the bottom of the barrel and into the ground below, to find the last subatomic particle of any kind of credible candidate.
And even if they paired Shelly with Romney, there'll still be those like this Raptard who'll refuse to vote for Romney. Hopefully. Then Shelly will be a Failin mk. II, and - via her FAIL - drive a wedge in between the moderates in the Republican party, and the GOP, and create such a schism, that the Democrats will rule for ever and ever RAmen.
