I would rather have a Theocracy than what we have now. People doing what seem right in their own eyes never works out for the good of the people.

Depending upon your cultic persuasion, I hear there some nice theocracies in Africa and the Middle East, possibly Indonesia as well.
Send us a postcard, fuckwad.
There has never been a Theocracy that isn't a dictatorship or a warring of sects vying to be the dictator.
Where religion rules the masses suffer, Every. Fucking. Time.
You can tell by the words of fundamentalist leaders and the likes of your goat blowing sites posters that you would quite happily return to the Inquisition/ dark ages type church rule to make most people slaves because, again part of your wacked beliefs is that you'll be on top because it's your church that'll survive to rule.
Go ahead, trust your priests, I'd love a report in a decade or so.
I would rather have a Theocracy...
Allah be praised! The infidel has seen the light!
Oh, that's not the kind of theocracy you had in mind.
Great! The theocracy will be run by the Amish. Please turn in your computer, television and all electric appliances at City Hall by the end of the month. You can use your car to get them there, but since you'll be leaving your car as well, plan on walking home.
Behold, the Great Old Ones come! Cthulhu fhtagn! Better prepare the human sacrifice! We're going to have an orgy of blood tonight!
Wait, you mean a theocracy under YOUR religion...
"I would rather have a Theocracy than what we have now"
Saudi Arabia. Only ultra-orthodox Wahhabi Islam allowed there; no practicing of any other religions allowed. NEXT!
North Korea. 'Cult of Personality' of Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong-Dead & Kim Jong-Uh . Christians the most persecuted group there, precisely because they refuse to kowtow to the Kims. NEXT! II.
Syria. ISIS. Convert to worse -than Wahhabi Islam at AK-47-point or have a 7.62 mm lobotomy. NEXT! III, and you've struck out.
People doing what seem right in their own eyes never works out for the good of the people.
Which is exactly what a theocracy is, except that they claim that their god agrees with them and you have to, too.
What does that second sentence mean?
Because people are different and make different choices, the world is not the way I want it to me?
" People doing what seem right in their own eyes never works out for the good of the people.'
Not that I'm a complete anarchist, but when has this ever been the case?
Edit: @ Doubting Thomas. Good point. I never looked at it that way. I guess there are people, and then there's the rest of us.
It's been working out pretty good in the United States, Canada, the UK, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, etc.--certainly better than any theocracy I can call to mind
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
