“There has to be something more, because logic demands it.”
I don’t think you’re logicing correctly.
“To say that the purpose of all living things is simply in order to reproduce, is circular logic.”
How is that circular? The function of DNA is to make more DNA, and the creature is the means to do that. We observe no externally applied purpose beyond that.
Are you sure you’ve identified circular logic, or have other people just dismissed your ideas so often that you use ‘circular logic’ as a pejorative?
“It's like saying, the purpose of life is to live.”
That’s not circular, that’s closer to a tautology. Kinda self-evident. But I’d rather say that the FUNCTION of life is to live.
If you have evidence of purpose that’s assigned from above, feel free to show it.
Oh. But if you did, you wouldn’t be trying to pretend that you can logically prove this external purpose… Shucks.
“There clearly must be something more than living, because everything else that is designed intelligently has some sort of purpose.”
You assume life is intelligently designed.
That’s a bit of a clue, actually. Anything intelligently designed WAS created for someone else’s purpose. Forks for our eating, clocks for our timing, the internet for our porn, and so on.
Living life things have no apparent external purpose.
Logically, therefore, life is not intelligently designed.
We can revisit this conclusion if you ever find independent and objective evidence of an assigned purpose.
“ I think the fact that every human wants purpose and seeks it, is proof it exists in some form or another. [emphasis added]”
God exists because I want to feel a purpose in my life?
Kind of a self-serving line of bullshit, seems to me.
