There can be no viler act, apart from homosexuality and sodomy, than sexually abusing innocent children

So, if I have this correctly, the top two vilest acts from your perspective are:
1. Homosexuality/Sodomy.
2. Sexual abuse of children.
I assume that murder, torture, and rape of adults are intermittently trumped by the horrible crimes of wearing mixed fabrics, working on the Sabbath, and saying God's name in vain, right?
Religious morality FTW!!

Well, see, you have the question of consensual and non-consensual ...oh, never mind, you wouldn't understand.
Actually, Ms. Robinson, making a statement like this is almost as vile as sexually abusing children. It also shows the levels of ignorance and silliness you possess. How did you become an MP? Steal an election?
A DUP MP said this? Why am I not suprised. Fucking Paislyites, all a pack of wankers. I'm ashamed that they are the largest political party in Northern Ireland.
I mean for fuck sake, these people were against the Good Friday Agreement, and now they're in charge of the NI assembly which only exists because of the Good Friday agreement.
The DUP worries me. Ian Paisley was a lot of things, few of them good, but he wasn't an idiot. Now he's going ... oh, boy :-(
What is this idiot trying to say?, that if children aren't innocent(whatever it means for her), you have total licence to rape them?, that rape is allowed in certain cases?. Because, if she means that all children are innocent(her writting style sucks, nevertheless), the statement is a non-sequitur and irrelevant from the point of view of knowledge. And FYI, 98% of pedophiles are straight and many married.
Mister Spak said "So what does that tell us about the catholic church?"
Nothing really. Iris, and the rest of the DUP, is about as anti-catholic as it is possible to get.
A note for the non-British and non-Irish...
Northern Ireland effectively has two "communities", the protestant community and the catholic community. These two communities can be further broken down into tolerant and intolerant groups. (This is an immense oversimplification of course, but this is only a comment) Thus we can see 4 distinct states, each that seems to have it's own political party:
Intolerant Catholic => Sinn Fein
Tolerant Catholic => SDLP
Tolerant Protestant => Ulster Unionist Party
Intolerant Protestant => Democratic Unionist Party
Frankly, the further away you get from the centre in either direction the more batshit insane they all become.
*Chimes in with the other NI FSTDTers*
She's DUP; it's a sad fact that the party that worshipped Paisley is inevitably going to come out with this fundie bull. It's quite depressing that Sinn Fein never get headlines for such fundie intolerance, yet people across the pond seem to think they're the religiously-intolerant ones (thanks to the well-publicised IRA, while the several less-publicised Loyalist paramilitaries go unnoticed and have yet to even de-commission).
Not that SF lack intolerance by any stretch of the imagination, merely that theirs is directed elsewhere (the recent protest about the troops' homecoming parade, for example).
Sometimes, I think the reason I'm so interested in US politics is because local politics puts me in mind of screeching monkeys dukin' it out DX
(And when other nations' politics put me in mind of such, I get to giggle and be glad I don't live there.)

Well, actually, the Screeching Monkey Party is one of our two major parties over here, along with the Jellyfish Party. Right and center, respectively.
Okay, miss Robinson..
If homosexuality is the worst "Act" there is, would you rather I kissed you, or several men raped, tortured and murdered you? If homosexuality is the worst act there is, surely you'd prefer the latter? No? Truly, I am amazed.
Confused?
