The constant bickering and fighting with progressives is tiresome and droll. I actually think the formation of conservative cities would be a blessing for we Americans that would simply say no to the alphabet offshoots of the gubmint, taxation without representation, overpaying civil servants and the forced extortion to give them what we can't afford for ourselves, Section 8 housing, welfare, medicaid, abortions, Monsanto, freebies of all kinds, and a host of other crimes against our nation that the federal gubmint forces upon our earned incomes. I would like to see entire states opt for "conservative only" status. I can envision the hoards of "refugees" from neighboring states begging to be allowed entrance after they ran out of other people's money. Of course, they would be turned away because of their own stupidity. Let's move on this idea....it is the perfect solution to the condition our condition is in.

Your use of the word "gubmint" immediately disqualifies you from having a say in how any country should be run.
By all means, continue to have your own opinions, but don't expect anyone to take them seriously as long as you continue to butcher the English language.
I have heard the more conservative states are the less well off or less nice to live in ones, and religion is heavier in the rural/farming areas, so how these people would adapt to surviving in an isolated city would be interesting. especially if half their population (women) probably wouldn't work.
but to be honest i'm not sure conservatives would go for it, since it means surrendering perceived right of control of everybody else's lives.
funny how people create isolated with the prediction of keeping other people out, only to spend 90% of their time keeping people in.
We're also tired of your constant bickering.
Remind me; in which direction is the money flow going between Northern (mostly progressive) states and Southern (mostly conservative) states? Who is it that lives off of other people's money?
Wasn't Texas thinking of seceding, until it suffered a serious drought (or was it flood) and needed the help of Uncle Sam and his federal gubmint?
Hasn't this idea of conservative cities been tested in the past, mostly with two different results; either everyone dies from lack of resources one winter, or everyone moves back to the blessings of public roads, public transports, public Social Security?
"I would like to see entire states opt for "conservative only" status. I can envision the hoards of "refugees" from neighboring states begging to be allowed entrance after they ran out of other people's money."
I can envision 'hoards' of refugees leaving these cities.
So I have a counterproposal. We put a berlin wall type barrier around these cities. Anyone trying to return to America gets killed.
And then when you expanded your conservative bubble to a whole city or state you will start the fighting among yourselves about who is the “right” kind of conservative or which of you is more conservative than the other.
Sounds like a plan. In your place I would start the project immediately. We will help you pack.
I actually think the formation of conservative cities would be a blessing for we Americans that would simply say no to the alphabet offshoots of the gubmint...
Even if you had your own city, you'd still have to follow federal laws. That "nullification" idea where states can ignore federal laws they don't like doesn't have any basis in reality.
But, conservatives are the ones who stand for freedom, right?
Also, is the OP using gubmint in a truly non-ironic way?
I can envision the hoards of "refugees" from neighboring states begging to be allowed entrance after they ran out of other people's money.
Yeah, but they would be swamped by the refugees from the conservative states fleeing after they ran out of federal subsidies from the blue states.
"The constant bickering and fighting with progressives is tiresome and droll. I actually think the formation of conservative cities ..."
Translation: "I keep getting my ass handed to me in every debate on every subject, so I fantasize about running away to where nobody's any smarter than I am."
You'd still have to abide by federal laws, so opting out of taxation may not be an option. There's nothing to stop you from emigrating though; how about you and your comrades find a country of your choosing to settle down in. Having looked through the options I think you may have to accept a lower standing of living, though, but I'm sure you'd be happy with that for the sake of your principles, right?
You will, of course, have to pay for your own highways, your own standing army, your own air supply...... Diane, you are an ass.
... the condition our condition is in.
If your condition is in bad condition, aren't you running a risk by changing conditions?
Section 8 housing, welfare, medicaid, abortions, Monsanto, freebies of all kinds, and a host of other crimes against our nation
So basically, your whole hissie-fit is about how much you despise the poor.
Funny because conservative states are often the most dependent on federal money.
I think we lefty hippies should colonise an underpopulated state like Wyoming. It's got a beautiful landscape too, from what I hear. Right now, the only Democratic areas in that state are in the vicinity of Jackson and Cheyenne. But we could go to other places. Let's turn Crook County from a Republican stronghold to a blazing blue area. Alternatively, we could move to Thermopolis! I'm just going to say there's a reason it's in Hot Springs County.
Confused?
