[Fewer Americans believe homosexuality is sinful.]
Apparently more americans today do NOT fear God any longer too- does that make their opinions morew acceptable to God? Nope! Yes, the nation may be moving to a ‘more inclusive thought process’ however, the nation is ALSO moving further and further away fro mthe one TRUE unifier and blesser- the ONLY One who can bless or remove blessings according to a nation’s feeligns about Him- Sad that America is choosing to throw God’s blessigns back in God’s face- The following verse talks about tithing, however, it also points out somethign htat America ghas forgotten- that God IS a King! And a King to be FEARED, not simply thought about once in awhile with a ‘yeah He’s a righteous God, but He udnerstands I’m a sinner and I ‘can’t’ walk a straight and narrow path, so He’ll just have to excuse my sinful desires- after all, He’s a ‘God of love’ right?”
No folks! God is a King to be worshipped and feared- He’s NOT someone you can simply throw all kinds of excuses at while dismissing what Hwe says in His word and makign excuses for His edicts as beign ‘not applicable’ today-
“Malachai 1:14 “Cursed is the cheat who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but then sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord. For I am a great king,” says the LORD Almighty, “and my name is to be feared among the nations”
Our nation no longer fears the greatest King of all- and htis lack of fear AND RESPECT for God WILL BE our downfall- I’m watchign it happen right before my eyes-

If I was your god/king, I'd kick your butt until you learned how to write properly.
On the plus side,it's good to know that it's only the US he's pissed off with.He certainly doesn't bother us in Europe very much.
Sometimes it's just really obvious how they project their own fantasies of superiority unto their god.

Yeah, I think you're safe.

Except America is a democracy, not a monarchy. Now go to your room and cower in fear like the pussy you are.
Hey Christians... you aren't going to win a lot of converts by telling people they need to be afraid of this magical being you all believe in. Seriously, it sounds like you're all in an abusive marriage and won't leave, or else suffering from Stockholm syndrome. But you're not going to recruit a lot of intelligent, logical people by saying, "You not only need to love and worship God, but you need to be afraid of him too." Seriously, who wants to worship something they have to constantly be afraid of?

It is well established that the god from the bible has lost most of his power over time.
In the time of the OT he could stop the sun in its way, part the sea, turn sticks into snakes, send numerous plagues and kill people in the hundreds of thousands. In the NT the most he could do was impregnate a virgin, cast out demons, heal sick people, do some magic catering and re-animate the dead. And now all he can do is send natural disasters into areas that are prone to them anyway and send crazy gunmen to kill small children. And even that only in the US
Maybe it has something to do with the spread of “iron chariots”, i.e. cars, throughout the world
@JohnCotti
So? What's your point?
I'm fine with God being a king. We know how to deal with encumbering monarchs, and we haven't used the guillotine in such a long time! Let God be a kind indeed!
(More seriously: if god was real, and was to be feared, he would also be to be fought. Not everyone react to tyrants by trying to please them.)
Because God-Kings were always such a good idea.
Also, nice try with the obvious trolling, John. Next time don't try so hard on the first attempt.
"Our nation no longer fears the greatest King of all"
You may not be aware of this, but America isn't exactly big on the whole royalty thing. The last King who tried to bully us didn't fare so well.
King Bible God is probably a multi-billionaire judging by the amount of dough His subjects throw at Him, so He should have enough to keep Him and His earthly stooges going for a while yet.
Even taking in to account the King's vast wealth, the United States Monarchy expresses its displeasure at Republicans, thereby clearing the way for the Democrat's political success.
King Bible God certainly has many dilemmas throughout His Kingdom to consider and certainly works in very mysterious ways.
" something that America has forgotten- that God IS a King! And a King to be FEARED"
I thought America gained independence to get away from a king. Of course if you now wish to return to the fold I'm sure our Queen will welcome you with open arms....along with the 250 years of back taxes you owe us.

If you fear God, you'll:
Sometimes hit the lottery
Sometimes get cancer
Sometimes narrowly miss being killed
Sometimes get killed
Sometimes live a quiet life of prosperity
Sometimes have your house destroyed by a tornado
On the other hand, if you ignore God, you'll:
Sometimes hit the lottery
Sometimes get cancer
Sometimes narrowly miss being killed
Sometimes get killed
Sometimes live a quiet life of prosperity
Sometimes have your house destroyed by a tornado
Yep. God is a King to be worshipped and feared, alright ...
DA KING! POWAH! AUTHORITY! POWAH! FORCE! MIGHT! ARGLE! BARGLE! WARRGARRBL! FIST! FEAR! DREAD! WRATH! GAWD IS A MIGHTY KING POOBAH! ARRRRGGGHH! ME GOT TINY WEENIE! BRRRAAAACCPPHK! OUR GREAT KING MIGHT AS WELL AS SENTENCE YOU TO TORCHA! SMELL MY STINKY ARMPITS! *TIM ALLEN AROOOO NOISE*!
Screw your macho God of Fear! The God of Love & Beauty is FAR SUPERIOR, you subhuman NOZZLE!
The Prehistoric (and metaphorical) Mother Goddess/Father God of Nature gives little bratty, petulant, Yahweh-Demiurge a scolding & grounds him for a couple of millennium!
The spell checker is your friend.
If homosexuality was so horrendous to God, you'd think that he would have stated it several times in clear and explicit words, and included it in the 10 commandments and the seven deadly sins, right? Instead he mentions it once or twice, in passing.
"Apparently more americans today do NOT fear God any longer too- does that make their opinions morew acceptable to God? Nope!"
Wow. For once I completely agree with a Freeper.
Because opinions don't matter to something that doesn't fucking exist . It'd be like me asking the Oracle of Delphi about it's opinion on the electoral credibility of any future Repubican candidate for the presidency.
...and besides, I'm British, CuntShop. Homosexuality? Not only legal here since 1967, but most here couldn't give a fuck what two adult, consenting people of the same gender do in the privacy of their own homes (as if what they do is any fucking business of anyone else's). Americentricism destroyed your own argument, much?
And anyway, you are too illiterate to know how to spell properly. Therefore you are too educationally inferior to be able to formulate a cogent thought to be able to have an 'opinion' in the first place, ergo your right to have what you say listened to is invalid.
This is scary. I actually agree with a point made by a Freeper. Our country does, indeed, fear God less. Of course, since frightened people make bad decisions, I think that's a very good thing.
BTW. If you are afraid of the being you think created you then it must be a really shitty life.
The need of these people to be ruled is a stench that emanates from their every thought and act. All this "authority of the King" shit notwithstanding, the very idea that God cares about "nations" -- if West Virginia is holy but San Francisco is wicked, god sends a tornado through West Virginia to punish "the nation". Because authority and power structures matter more than individual responsibility...
Random use of caps lock always reads to me like someone desperately trying to convince himself of something. "Maybe if I write it in caps it'll be true, or at least more plausible".
Oh, and Medieval Europe called. You just qualified for their servile grovelling programme.
Why should a modern country in the western hemisphere in the year 2013 worship and fear a perhaps imaginary middle eastern tribal deity? Why?
He’s NOT someone you can simply throw all kinds of excuses at while dismissing what Hwe says in His word and makign excuses for His edicts as beign not applicable’ today
So, CottShop, how many sacrifices have you brought to the Temple in Jerusalem over the last five years?
@Rabbit of Caerbannog
Using Copy/Paste on a writing program & increasing the font size of the titular "fine print" reveals this:
...His wife's kinda hot, though <3...
Make of that what you will.
Also "John Cott i" sounds like a reference to Cott Shop.
Is the Cott-meister trolling us, perhaps?
@Spuki
Yeah that's what I was referring to. The text was so small that it resembled a line to me, so I increased the size and saw the message. Yes, he's trolling, though even without the fine print it was blatantly obvious. Why else would someone throw out such an offensive non-sequitur?
As for the name, it sounded more like John Gotti to me, or we're simply overthinking this, which is another strong possibility.
“Malachai 1:14 “Cursed is the cheat who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but then sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord. For I am a great king,” says the LORD Almighty, “and my name is to be feared among the nations”
So the problem is not lying and delivering a blemished (or damaged) product when you said you'd deliver the unblemished one, but giving the blemished one in the first place?
Seems to me that violating the commandments is the problem there, not sacrificing a lesser offering when you have better ones you keep.
Confused?
