The way I had always phrased that myself is that men test themselves on physical and practical intellectual matters, whereas women test themselves emotionally. But I think what you’re saying is closer. When a woman puts on a man’s job (the clothing, the attitude, the degree, the social status), they do it to test if they can still be true to their feminine self, like a woman who still looks sexy wearing a man’s shirt. I’ve had professional women say as much to me, that they feel like they are just pretending to be lawyers or engineers, just playing dress-up. Demanding that men take them seriously is part of the game.
Unfortunately, by allowing women to have half (or more) of the training resources for essential jobs in medicine, engineering, law, government, and so forth, we’ve cut our real capacity for excellence and innovation in half. The female half of the workforce is more interested in how they look doing it than getting it done right, and I really believe that this is one of the main problems holding our economy back.

Fundie math: 1+1=.5
Utter bullshit!
The only thing women, professional or otherwise, ever say to you is " Yes please, I will have fries with that."
Tell that to the lady who made Watson and Crick's discovery possible.
And Marie Curie wants your balls.
You shame our gender, dude.
I go by this theory: Let's say that some professional women have said exactly that: That they feel like they're playing dress-up. So what? For every woman who feels as though they're getting away with something and giggling in secret, there are hundreds who are doing the best they can at their job, whatever the hell it happens to be.
Yes, many nurses drive themselves into having a meltdown or even physical disability working double-shifts or even triple-shifts at the ER so she could play dress-up. Ass.
(There's a horrendous nursing shortage in my state)
You my friend, are full of shit.
I'd also like to point out that dealing with "men" like you IS a test. It's a test of willpower-the willpower to not kill you.
This is hands down one of the most disgustingly condescending and smug piece of sexist crap I've ever read on this site...
-Not because it's radical or obscene, like those " Let's legalize rape!!"-ones.
-but because he's being honest, not ranting...he really believes what he's saying.
I'm no feminist by any definition, (though I suppport equality), but reading this , I get a strong urge to punch his stupid, condescendedly smiling face.
So Golda Meir, Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi, Milka Planinc, Tansu Ciller, Benazir Bhutto and Yulia Tymoshenko were all playing dress-up. I think they'd like a word...
Holy fucknuts, Batman! This asshat here has apparently never heard of impostor syndrome!
In case you’re reading this, Anon7, it’s not some feminine game when a woman says she feels like she’s playing dress-up, or that she doesn’t feel like a real professional. It’s a psychological disorder characterized by a sense of inadequacy, like you’re an unqualified fraud. It’s not a fun thing to go through; I’m speaking from firshand experience here. There's a certain creeping sense of dread when you feel like you’re wasting everyone’s time and money and that it’s only a matter of time before your perceived lack of skill is discovered.
Mind you, it’s not exclusive to women, but it has once been thought to be more common among women and blacks, so historical outreach has been fairly uneven; you’re not likely to find as many white or Asian men voice such feelings as a result.
TL;DR Twist your dick around and shove it up your chauvinistic ass, Anon7.
Yes, they FEEL like they're just playing dress up because idiots like you treat them that way. They work harder then anyone just to overcome the sexist practices of a patriachal workplace, but they still don't get acknowledged or, as you so helpfully pointed out, taken seriously. People like you are what's holding us back.
If all we wanted to do is play dress up, we could do that for a lot less than a legal, engineering or medical education costs, you fuckwit.
The most suited to a position should get the job/university spot, regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation and disability. Anything else is discrimination, and against the law in most countries.
We're not "allowing" women to have half (or more) of the training resources, women are qualified to have half (or more) of the training resources. If we, on the other hand, only allowed men in, then we would literally cut our capacity for excellence and innovation in half, as only half of the potential excellence and innovation would get in. If Marie Curie had played by the book, there would be no-one who had won a Nobel Prize in two different sciences.
I know many men who are more interested in how they look during the work day than I am. As they buy much more hair care products, clothes, skin cremes, etc, they are contributing more to that part of the economy than I do.
As if any professional woman would speak to Anon7 other than to say, "No, I wanted mustard, not ketchup. And where's my coffee?"
I’ve had professional women say as much to me, that they feel like they are just pretending to be lawyers or engineers, just playing dress-up.
That was a hooker, Anon7.
So, assume you are on holiday in a small town and the only Doctor there is female. Please don't take the antibiotics she prescribes for your infected thumb, because she's just pretending to be a Doctor.
I’ve had professional women say as much to me, that they feel like they are just pretending to be lawyers or engineers, just playing dress-up. Demanding that men take them seriously is part of the game.
You are lying, that never happened.
Da way I had always phrased dat mah dirty ass is dat pimps test themselves on physical n' practical intellectual matters, whereas dem hoes test themselves cheezy-assly. But I be thinkin what tha fuck youâre sayin is closer. When a biatch putz on a manâs thang (the threadz, tha attitude, tha degree, tha hood status), they do it ta test if they can still be true ta they feminine self, like a biatch whoz ass still looks dirty bustin a manâs shirt. Iâve had professionizzle dem hoes say as much ta me, dat they feel like they is just pretendin ta be lawyers and engineers, just playin dress-up. Demandin dat pimps take em seriously is part of tha game.
Unfortunately, by allowin dem hoes ta have half (or more) of tha trainin resources fo' essential thangs up in medicine, engineering, law, posse, n' so forth, weâve cut our real capacitizzle fo' excellence n' innovation up in half. Da female half of tha workforce is mo' horny bout how tha fuck they look bustin it than gettin it done muthafuckin right, n' I straight-up believe dat dis is one of tha main problems holdin our economizzle back.
Women have had to think more about their appearance than men, just because they are more harshly judged by it. Don't look too feminine, don't look too masculine, don't look too sexless, don't look like a clothes horse, don't look dowdy, don't look like you're spending all your money on clothes, don't look like you're dressing on the cheap...
@Hasan Prishtina: well, I wouldn't be particularly surprised if it turned out that Miss Maggy was a crossdressing male, but let's avoid mentionning her unless really necessary, the name tends to trigger our dear Anon-e-moose's PTSD.
@Doubting Thomas: indeed, the site should be named The Dickhead(s).
Ok, when did you skipped maths, the field in which you men, supposedly, go on average better than women?
“The way I had always phrased that myself is that men test themselves on physical and practical intellectual matters, whereas women test themselves emotionally.”
You know, the last challenge _I_ attempted wasa technical exercise, writing a sex scene where the woman was about 1mm tall.
Or a graphic sex scene from the point of view of a handheld Tetris game. A hammer and nail have sex AS the sex, not a metaphor FOR sex.
Not sure how practical they are.
My wife’s last challenge was updating a procedure for equipment she’s never seen on the Trident Submarines. It’ll have a daily impact on the fleet.
I think you’re proving, with your opening, here, that you’re just horribly sexist. Not even any qualifiers like ‘tend to’ or ‘most commonly.’ Just a flat trait applied to all.
You’re never going to find the actual truthiness of this subject.
Confused?
