All things are tolerable but not all things are beneficial.
Heavy metal on the secular side glorifies sin and the devil.
What does AC/DC's song's Highway to Hell and Hell's Bells imply?
It's pretty obvious.
God did invent music but it was invented to worship him and the devil has the majority of it worshipping him.
The choice is yours for we all have free will but there are side effects that will affect you in secular heavy metal subliminally.
Garbage in = Garbage out.

The former seems to state that "I'm going down, all the way down", while the latter appears to claim that you've "got me ringing Hell's Bells" and "My temperature's high! Hell's bells!"
Oh...was I supposed to read meaning into the lyrics? :)
Heavy metal, or no metal at all, wimps and posers leave the hall.
Heavy metal is great, all real metal is great. Plus i'd say ac/dc were more hard rock. Black sabbath on the other hand were largely christians but it didn't stop them from practicaly inventing heavy metal. The satan worshiping stuff is only put in because it pisses off the fundies and it's fun.

So rape of toddlers is tolerable?

No, just because something doesn't whine on about how wonderful your god is doesn't mean it glorifies your devil. Lots of metal tunes don't mention God or Satan.

Who cares? Even if they say "Satan is the greatest" they are onlt 2 songs from a huge genre.
"It's pretty obvious."
It's pretty stupid.

You God invented music? Your God invented music to worship him? On what evidence can one make such outrageous claims?

Just like Sunday school.
Renewing your mind seems like a very good idea.
dammit, now I've got to get up, go downstairs, turn on the stereo and listen to AC/DC. You've made me homesick you son of a bitch.
If this "God" guy "invented" music, why is he offended by guys who can only play 3 chords?
Mr. Turquoise
P.S. Sorry to all you AC/DC fans out there...but they were banned from the Catholic High School I attended, so I never really got to appreciate them in their day. :(
Ironically, Bon Jovi accounted for 50% of the music at school dances - talk about crimes against music...
Oh, you think those songs are bad, RespewingMyMind? Look up 'Hell Awaits' by Slayer, 'In Torment, in Hell' by Deicide, 'Gather For Attack On The Pearly Gates' by Darkthrone, 'Satan My Master' by Bathory, 'Devil's Path' by Dimmu Borgir, 'Like Fire' by Bloodbath, plus many other joyful tunes. I can go on all night with this. Maybe if you fundie xians didn't always try to ram xianity down people's throats, then maybe these musicians wouldn't have been inspired to write such songs. You will notice that there are very few, if any, songs attacking other religions, except for maybe Islam; which also rams its ideas down peoples throats.

Black Sabbath wrote some of the best Christian songs. Get over it.

Yeah, I'm a father of two. I know my music is a nice little distraction. Now if you'd only understand that the music you use to glorify him is also an opiate, but I know you couldn't handle that.

Just like unreviewed and untested belief. God Bless!!1!111!
I believe Bill Hicks has something to say along the lines of this topic.
"I was adopted by pro-life Christians when I was a kid. [Mimes gunshots] Does my penis make me a bad boy? That's what they told me!" Please, give me the Satan-worshiping family down the block
the ones that have the good albums.
Ever heard of Lordi? One of their songs is titled 'Devil is a loser.' Hardly satanic, I'd say.
Although, there is confusion on my part as to whether they're metal or hard rock, but there we go.
Like sin and the devil need to be glorified. We already know that both are awesome, listening to metal isn't going to change that well-known fact. However, no listening to metal of some form makes life empty and devoid of meaning. Do you really want to encourage people to let their mind rot by listening solely to country or pop? Do you!? Do you really want to push people into killing themselves because they think that their precious metal is bad for them? The bodies will line the streets! Do you understand this!? Do you fully comprehend the ramifications!? The remaining chunk of the population that don't commit suicide after this "revelation" of yours will either go insane, joining the masses of the crazed who never did much care for the heavy metal, while a small chunk go underground, listening to metal in their bunkers, delving into abominable sins that they would never dreamed of before because they are outcasts now anyway. And once these chosen few arise from the underground, beaten down, weary, but still mentally sound, they will arise to a world that is madness itself. MADNESS! You and your fearmongering will have wrought this catastrophe! Repent! Repent now for your future-crimes or it will be too late!
AC/DC isnt heavy metal, its hard rock. iron maiden is heavy metal.
some christian music is hard rock, and ac/dc plays hard rock. What does AC/DC's song's Highway to Hell and Hell's Bells imply?
it implies (or rather, for the purpose of argument, i infer) that hard rock is devil music, and all hard rock is devil music, regardless of how it has been adapted. obviously anyone who has ever listened to christian rock, is a devil worshiper.
see how that makes no sense whatsoever, fundies? thats what its like for us everytime you open your stupid mouth

Yeah, it implies that human beings can write and play some fucking good music. If you want to read more than that into it, please try not to reference mythology as though it were fact -- people will just laugh at you.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
