What I find funny is "religious" people are getting scared. When has the Bible and God ever been proven wrong. It has lasted how many thousands of years of people trying to disprove it? Plus the bible is the most historically sound documents in the world, with more manuscripts to back it up then Homer's Oddyssey. Don't believe, you try to disprove it. C.S. Lewis tried - look where he ended up.

Maybe it has lasted because fundies refuse to accept any evidence that goes against their beliefs?
No one is trying to claim that the Odyssey is the Word of God, so the comparison is irrelevant.
Like your not scared, Every fundies scared, they're raised that way. The only reason you wouldn't be scared of that vindictive illogical murderous God is that you don't believe in him.

And basically it's only the last couple hundred years that the Bibles been really questioned.
More printing, more copies of more books on many different topics. Better education, more people able to read and secular freedoms which now allow Bible critique (and fundies still think you should be jailed for it or killed like them good old days)
No actual history in the Bible. I've heard it said Homers books contain more fact. For years they thought both Troy and Crete were complete fiction, I believe they've found both.
Even Hebrew scholars admit the moses story of egyptian captivty is a fable. No historical backing at all.
Makes me wonder if I can step through that mirror...

Well finding Crete would have been fairly easy, given that it's the 5th largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. :-)
I can't get over how many fundies seem to hate Lewis; the guy was a Christian scholar, fer fuck's sake, but just because he believed that hey, maybe God DOESN'T light the vast majority of people on fire, he appears to be somewhere between Michael Moore and John Waters on fundie shit lists.

The idea is that Lewis didn't believe in God, set out to disprove God, and found himself converted to Christianity. Jared is saying that if you look carefully into Christianity you will find it to be correct.
I find that... unlikely.
When has the bible ever been proven wrong....? Fuck, where does one even start? Four-legged insects and pi=3 are good starting points, and it gets worse after that. The useless thing even contradicts its own account of creation - in the same fucking book!
Just because there's still no shortage of cretins who believe it doesn't make it right.
