Christ is the bridegroom and the church is the bride. The priest at the altar is an icon of Christ. What image is that if the person at the altar is a woman? It's a lesbian relationship.

You appear to be experiencing what is called "loose associations", something generally considered a sign of mental illness.
(Also, can we please get a "Misogynists Say The Darnedest Things" section? A "Homophobes Say The Darnedest Things" would be nice too, but that's another story.)
Requesting yuri pics of Mary Magdalene and Jesus as a girl.
Hey, rule 34 has brought us stranger things.
OK, so even the church has a reason to support gay marriage.
A stupid and nonsensical reason, but hey, it's a start.
I...uh...what?
...I give up, I honestly have no idea what the hell he is trying to say.
Apart from the standard 'the priest is god' mantra o'course.
Church is bride, Christ is bridegroom, priest is best man and... female priest would be bridesmaid.
That's all the sense I got from this post.
@PhoenixUltima: well, rule 63 states that there is always a female version of a male character, no exceptions :P
Though I'm not sure that Google image searching "female Jesus" is wise, if you like your eyes/brain unbleached. ^^"
@The Lazy One and El Zorro:
The best one I heard was when, over here in the UK, a priest went on TV ranting that for women to become priests was a form of transvestitism.
He was wearing a cassock ...
Okay, I'm assuming this is the standard "women shouldn't be preachers" argument, so I'm going to use the best rebuttal I've ever heard to that.
Three of the Gospels describe who went to Jesus' tomb the first Easter morning. They differ on exactly who went, but they all agree that Mary Magdalene was one of them, and that none of the Disciples went.
They all further agree Christ told Mary to go tell everyone he had risen from the dead. So, the very first person Christ picked to be a preacher was a woman.
Put that in your misogynist pipe and smoke it.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Oh, deary me! Sometimes I laugh so hard at the latest fundie drivel it hurts! "lesbian relationship"!
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Christ and the church are indeed well-known for their, ah, romantic liaisons.
Um, you've got sex on the brain, man.
Dear Bishop,
I have two questions for you:
a) Can you find out what was used to spike your wine at last mass?
b) Where can I get some?
You see, I'd like to be able to dream up such dementedly delusional shit, but it seems I'm far too rational for that. Strong psychedelics are the only way...
Isn't the priest an icon of the church, which is the bride in this scenario? To me it sounds like the priest OUGHT to be a woman, or Jesus is marrying a priest...
Stupid me; trying to use logic with religion.
@ Dio Fa
Of course Christ was a woman:
- She had 12 men following her around who hung on her every word but still had no idea what she was talking about
- She was called on to feed 5,000 people on a moment's notice, and she did it with just a few loaves and fishes
- Even after she was dead she still had to get up and go to work
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
