Trump in 2012 on female teachers accused of statutory rape: 'I don't see a lot of damage done'
Donald Trump once dismissed concerns over female teachers having sex with underage male students, saying in a clip that the boys were "going around bragging about it."
In a June 2012 interview with a reporter from the TV show "Extra", Trump is asked what he thinks about "all these teachers having sex with their students." It's unclear which specific case Trump is referencing in the clip.
"Well, I don't think the male students have been hurt by it," Trump replies. "In fact, they're going around bragging about it as I understand it."
"Wow," the reporter says.
"I don't see a lot of damage done," Trump continues, before adding, "But it's a very unusual situation. I would say her husband cannot be happy."
The Trump campaign did not reply to a request for comment.

Our potential next US president, everyone! A friggin' rape apologist!
Seriously, are there any depths which Trump will not sink to?
It depends on the case. The main issue is the fact the teacher can coerce a student to have sex with them based on the power they have--it's extremely unprofessional and you deserve to be fired. If you coerced students, then that's definitely bad and deserves jail.
But let's get real here (and Trump's mostly right), if you're a high school girl or boy, 16 or 17, and you're the one initiating things, the fact you're a victim is nothing short of laughable (at that age, you can consent to anyone in some states and most Western countries, but not a teacher...). And the teacher still gets fired because it's still unprofessional.
I doubt he has much problem with male teachers having sex with underage female students, either, seeing as how he said he'd have sex with his own daughter and told someone after meeting a 10-year-old girl that he'd be having sex with her in 10 years.
Face it, Republicans, the guy you nominated for president is a fucking creep.
There actually isn't a lot of damage done, at least assuming the male isn't VERY young and the teacher isn't ugly, but that's not quite the same as saying it should be tolerated.
It's also not the same as saying there is 0 damage done.
Do you have any evidence that Trump would actually push to make this sort of thing no longer a crime?
@1987211
Exactly, you say no. Not because it's morally wrong, but because it's extremely unprofessional. And if you are unprofessional, then you should be fired. Otherwise, no crime is being committed, unless you believe fornication and adultery are crimes too.
@TimeToTurn
The damage is done in the fact that students are not exactly in a position to meaningful consent to sex with their teacher, because she has a position of authority over them. And the student is legally required to be under that authority, so he doesn't have a meaningful choice over that either.
It's similar for that matter to prison guards + inmates (can be adult inmates). The inmate may want it but he doesn't really have a choice to say no either.
Or doctor + patient. When your survival depends on someone else, you can't realistically refuse anything that person tells you to do.
Anyway Trump didn't say he would make it legal or that there is 0 damage done. But the anti-Trump bots are getting desperate. They know the polls are rigged and that Hillary might be done for if they don't up the propaganda.
TRUMPY! THAT GOOFY VAN HALEN SONG/VIDEO FROM THE 1980s IS NOT A DOCUMENTARY!!!....

....(PICTURED: Not a Documentary)
I don't care how "smokin' hot" the teacher is! She's a grown adult fiddlin' a kid! It would be the same if it was a gorgeous studmuffin' of a male teacher messing with with a young girl student! It's WROOOOONNNGGGG!
If the teachers if these recent scandals looked like this....

....Would Trumpy-Who-Says-Stupid-Things still say the same thing?
Look. I get the whole meme. I know there are teachers who are physically-attractive and kids who get crushes on them.
However; Teacher is an adult, Student's a kid. The Adult/Kid combo is wrong and illegal and some things are best left in the weird Alternate Universe where all the world's porn takes place....which obviously runs a different logic and biology than ours.
Oh, Donny, Donny, Donny... have you learned nothing from Todd Akin just four short years ago?!
Fortunately, your goldfish-like memory span - coupled with your mouth - is the Democrats' best asset, so you go right ahead and continue the way you are: Non -PC. Thus all those undecideds in key states will have their minds made up for them. Unfortunately, they're the ones who don't think like you, failtroll: but only unfortunately for you & Wiggy.
Good.
Hillary's laughing all the way to the White House.
Podiatry e-mails? nobody cares. Trumpo is rigging the polls in Clinton's favour: with his mouth . LOL!
Donald Trump commits felony Obstruction of justice by destroying thousands of emails subpoenaed by a federal judge during legal hearings against Trump

(What was that about Hillary & emails, Trumptards...?!) >:D
The boys can suffer trauma even if they "brag about it". They are conditioned to think that only girls and women are raped, so they might not understand what happened to them, and don't know why they are feeling so bad about it, when everyone is saying that sex is so good. So they compensate by bragging about.

Private companies and citizens can delete e-mails.
When you're a public official however handling classified information, those aren't yours to delete and it's not a decision for you alone to make.
Try harder scrub troll.
Sadly this is a common belief. It is a double standard that sadly is correct. If a male teacher sleep with a female student he is a predator, a rapist who minipulated her. Yet if a female teacher sleeps with a male student the student is lucky, he got with an older woman good for him.
Yet it does not matter if that is true or not. What matters is the law, we have age laws for a reason, an adult sleeping with someone under the age of eighteen is against the law. It is statutory rape and the boy (or girl) bragging about what happened afterwords does not matter.
Trump is the so called law and order president.
@1987242
And that makes it a crime instead of anything else? What are we legislating against here? The threat it might escalate? If we had to legislate against threats and vague "what-if" situations, we'd be a society of nothing but laws.
Everything you mentioned is nothing but an issue of professionalism and certainly not a criminal issue. It is the responsibility of the adult (or "superior") to say "sorry, no." If not, then they deserve to be fired or otherwise not involved in the profession.
@creativerealms
There's laws against smoking pot that put hundreds of thousands of people in jail or otherwise subject them to the legal system. There used to be laws against fornication. Doesn't mean they're good laws. It's a pretty retarded law in fact.
Not to mention, what about the states where the age of consent is 16? That should be nationwide (like it is in most of Europe).
It's a crime. Yes, I know that age limits are arbitrary, of necessity, but that's because the law can't really say "over 18 or younger if that person is suitably mature ” and then not define that fuzzy quality "suitably mature". It's a law as it stands now, and Trump should know that. And if he considers that to be a priority situation, then his priorities are more screwed up than I thought.
@failtroll
Not when those e-mails are evidence subpoena'd by a court.
What does Wiggy have to hide, when he's stolen trade secrets?

Cheney Rove @Co. were required by law to use White House servers for their emailing and those servers by law archived the emails.
Knowing they were committing crimes and knowing those archives would be evidence against them, they illegally used(including classified emails) an RNC server, which did not save copies.
Did you forget about the part where Rove and Cheney exposed the identity of ~120 CIA spies and Iranian intelligence sources to a hostile reporter?
Try harder failtroll. Maybe you could claim Hillary secretly has Obamas Kenyan birth certificate on her private server but won't release it.
If the student is truly initiating, and is truly interested of their own volition, and the teacher is truly interested...
...then they can wait until the student graduates, and is a legal adult, and there is no longer anything unprofessional about it.

You think all not-far-right people are radical leftists, so...
I'll bet that during most of Bush II's presidency that this fool was singing W's praises like SO many far right idiots were right up until the end of his term, when all of a sudden their great conservative leader turned out to have been liberal RINO the whole time. Conservatism never fails, but we may fail conservatism.
Three things
1) Statutory rape is a crime because it has a potentially large negative effect on the psyche of the child. It's also an abuse of power on someone who is powerless in many of the situations.
2) Not all the kids enjoyed it, men don't enjoy being raped, and just because you're hard doesn't mean you consent.
3) I then imagine this person would be perfectly fine with me smoking marijuana because it causes no harm to anyone but me, forces no one, and I enjoy it. No? Oh, right, you object because it's illegal.
Congrats, USAians : you did find worse than DSK(guilty of sexual agression and proxenetism, probable serial rapist, and many others).
Confused?
