Mary was medically proven to be a virgin while carrying Jesus.
If she was NOT a virgin at that point, she would have been an outcast,& no Jewish man would have ever married her.
If you can't understand how women can be proven to be virgins; Then you have a lot to learn about the female body!

re. The Alleg-ed Virgin Mary:
1. Rape victims were stoned to death unless some man would come forward and pay the "bridepiece" to good old Dad anyway. It's in Leviticus, look it up. Ya-sef is in evidence as a buyer.
2. Exceptions could be bought if the family had influence and money. This was probably done most of the time to avoid family scandal more than out of love for the prospective victim. It's in the Talmud, somewhere.
Under either circumstance, the Rabbis would declare the daughter "chaste" (without blame) which somehow became "virgin" in your mythology.
There was no medical exam unless it was faked, and that would have been performed by a rabbi, not a doctor. There is only one form of semen on the earth that can fertilize a human female, and that's found between the legs of a human male. Your version is the bronze age equivalent to a comic book hero.
Question: Was Mary at least 18 when she was betrothed to Joseph? PROTIP: Tony Alamo.
Because if your answer is the only one possible, then your 'God' committing the sin of Adultery - one of his own moral laws - is the least of your problems, never mind his.
Moral: Oh, we Atheists understand. Only too well.
Certainly for the Religious Reich's own good. Especially after late last year: and Roy Less .
Then tell us HOW she was "medically-proven". Give us medical documents, test results and quotes from their doctor.
YOU CAN'T! Therefore; It was never medically proven.
Also; Virginity is a nebulous concept, hymens can break in other ways.
There's also a good chance that "Virgin" should've been translated as "Young Unwed Woman".
Finally; Since you've said something this stupid while on Yahoo Answers, may I suggest taking you, your raven and your black cat back to your X-Wing and fly away to Planet Mustafar.
A hymen, or lack of one, is medically proof of not much. Thin hymens break from strenuous physical activity. Thick hymens don't always break during sex.
The Messiah prophecy said that the Messiah would be born to an almah , meaning girl of around the age of 13-16. This was translated into Greek as parthenos , a vague term which can mean "young maiden" or "virgin". It was then translated into Latin as virgo meaning guess what. The "Mary was free from the original sin" part of text appears to be added a couple centuries later, and contradicts the rest of it. So even if Mary was provably a virgin yet somehow gave birth, that wouldn't even mean Jesus was the Messiah, only that something weird was going on.
1) You can't prove a woman is a virgin. You're pretty much going to have to take her word for it.
2)Joseph considered quietly divorcing her when he found out she was pregnant. It took Gabriel talking to him to change his mind.
Mary was medically proven to be a virgin while carrying Jesus.
Yup, nothing new about that. It's right there in the gospel. Dr. Isaac Abramowitz from the Jerusalem Clinic for Advanced Female Medicine, Bethlehem office, conducted the examination. He said "yez, sheez ah veergeen, no hanky panky here".
Praise the Lord and Amen.
@creativerealms
Actually wouldn't they have forced her to marry the man who got her pregnant?
Yes, provided that he also paid her father the Biblically-mandated 50 shekels.
Oh yeah? Did they even have doctors back in biblical times? And where does it even say this in the bible? There are controversies whether or not the word "virgin" was translated from means "someone who has not had sex" or just "young girl."
And please enlighten me on this miracle medical examination to prove 100% that a woman has never had sex.

How did they "medically prove" someone to be a virgin? There is no way to do it now, how could they have done it 2000 years ago?
I AM a woman, nit-wit, and I have studied female sexuality quite a lot, as I'm involuntarily child-free.
There is no way to know whether a woman was born with little or no hymen, or if the little hymen she had broke while running, riding, dancing, etc. You can also have lots and lots of sex and still have a discernible hymen left. The hymen is not a membrane covering the opening, it's more lite the little "fringe" that some mushrooms have on their stalks, but inverted.

If it WAS a membrane, virgins would have all the menstrual blood up until then, stuck in there until the first time they had vaginal sex. Then it would be a couple of litres of blood pouring out, not a teaspoon as it usually is, or no blood at all.
@Swede : Not exactly. Women or intersex people who have uteri but no vaginas eventually re-absorb the blood and shed tissues. This causes a lot of other problems, however, and are likely to suffer a lot of post-period pain and/or sickness. Which, unfortunately, a lot of doctors dismiss as nothing, as they don't appear to have periods at all.
Confused?
