"Praying for our brothers and sisters in Egypt!!"
How dare you presume to even think you're in any way, shape or form, like those in the Coptic Church. The oldest erstablished pre-Holy Roman Christian church.
It's said that theirs is amongst the purest forms of Christianity, theologically. Along with the Quakers and Unitarian Universalists. Their beliefs certainly haven't become twisted & depraved like those of, say, modern-day Fundamentalist Christianity. They certainly don't believe in a (C)Rapture, for a start.
PROTIP: The Church of Malta, like the Coptic Church in Egypt, is another of the earliest established pre-Holy Roman churches. And to this day, they still refer to God as Allah
Have I blown your mind, mary rae (and everyone on Ruptured Retards)?!
@Mtgcostello
"Mary Rae seems to be genuinly concerned for her fellow christian, which may be a good thing. As a matter of fact, christians in Egypt are fairly well treated, compared to many other places in the middle east."
Indeed. And of course, the Coptic Church existed way before Islam, so you'd think there'd be some form of dispute in Egypt, at least (a la the Civil War in Lebanon; 1975-90: Sunni/Shia vs. Christian/Druze etc militias). But no. The Copts don't bother the Muslims, the Muslims don't bother the Coptic Christians. Just as in other countries in the West etc, Quakers/Unitarian Universalists/Buddhists etc don't bother anyone (least of all try to force their beliefs on anyone else; indeed, doing so is anathema to them), and they're left alone by everyone else.
Now what part of this equation don't you understand, Ruptured Retards?
