Yes , they do , when they really don't have any right to ... don't have a right to revcieve presents or anything at all.Personally, I think athiests at Christmas should not get Christmas bonus , school holidays for Christmas etc.Because they don't believe in it.

We don't believe in bonuses and days off? who the fuck told you that bull?
Its quite simple: days off are days off. If companies no longer celebrated certain holidays, the religious would have to go to work too.
Next he'll say we should be forced to worship but not get any benefits.
I believe in Christmas. It's a holiday about decorating, giving/receiving presents, being a little nicer than usual, eating a lot, Santa, reindeer, snowmen, etc.
It's Christ I don't believe in. Christmas has become a secular holiday. The religious aspects are totally optional. I've known a lot of atheists, I have yet to meet one who doesn't celebrate "Christian" holidays. ;) Yet every fundie I've come across assumes atheists scorn all holidays, and say stupid things like this.
Your god has nothing to do with Christmas.
You stole the holiday from pagans, and now we've stolen it from you. What are you going to do about it? Huh?
This post is absolutely right. People who don't believe in certain things should abstain from using casual references to what is or once was a prevailing belief.
As a True Christian myself, I don't use days of the week - as they are named after the Satanic Roman gods. We just call names after the Genesis account of creation - for example, what you hellbound refer to as "Sunday" we refer to as "RestDay" since that's when God rested after creating the universe (in only 6 literal days).
Personally I don't think I have any right to say anything as I don't believe in Christmas at all, coming from a society where Christmas doesn't matter.
I will, however, say this: By his logic, I can ask for Chinese New Year compensation because I do celebrate Chinese new year. I get a 15 day holiday and bonuses, while no one else does because they don't celebrate it. AMIRITE?
(This is me being sarcastic BTW. I still do celebrate Chinese New Year)
Tell you what, Whight_Knight, I'll make you a deal. I'll stop receiving Xmas pressies, taking the public holiday and anything else associated with your cult the same day your churches pay tax like any other business.
Until then, Xmas day is the most expensive holiday I've ever purchased.
Bonuses?
There are Xmas bonuses?
How come I've never received one?
Actually, how come I've never heard of them?
I hope you don't have a Christmas tree Whight_Knight, God hates them.
Jeremiah 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
But they do believe in family, friends, giving of themselves, caring for others, etc. They believe in everything that helps and benefits humanity. What they don't believe in is myth.
ah, yes, i remember the bible verse well.
Luke 2:20a And then the angels spoke, saying that when an employer of salaried staff should assess his labour force before the winter nights get shortest, then shall he give his staff a one-off tax exempt gift of shekels, or possibly an hamper with many preserved fruit and candied meats in honour of our lord.
How many Christians believe in Santa Claus, Rudolph the Red-nosed reindeer and Frosty the Snowman?
Why not just add Christ the Magic Hebrew to the list and pass the eggnog?
So the Jews, Muslims, Hindus and atheists should come to school and continue to do their school work while Christians get a school holiday for Christmas and fall a week or two behind?
Also, no modern company I've ever heard of is politically incorrect enough to call an annual bonus a "Christmas" bonus anymore. My company gives annual bonuses in early spring and calls them "incentive compensation".
The Catholic church has the official stance that the date chosen for Jesus' birthday was most probably taken from the Roman celebration of the (re)birth of Sol Invictus , 25 December (Julian), which was the winter solstice.
Could one of our Latin scholars compose an appropriate holiday greeting in the name of Sol Invictus, please? I'd be happy to use it.
I think fundies should not get vaccines or antibiotics because they don't believe in the evolution that makes them neccesary.
And they can't use computers because they don't believe in the theory that was used to design them.
Fine. I'll do it, if you stop using modern science and technology. They are, after all, Satan's tools no?
Hmmmm.... Is that ENVY I detect?
Well, it certainly is from me, living in the UK I've never heard of an Xmas bonus let alone ever received one.
Is it an American thing?
I have a religion that totally believes in holidays and bonuses and shit. The sabbath is every 2 days, and I can't work then. It also believes in 7x pay every wednesday and friday, and 5x pay on monday, tuesday, thursday. Caturday is the MOST holy, and is required to be work-free, with the workplace offering servants to cater my every whim, and 10x the pay.
Obviously, nobody else should get these benefits because they don't have my religion. And to not hire me because of it, or to deny me any of those benefits is discrimination!
I have yet to find a job, and live my life off lawsuit money. Kinda like Fred Phelps without the picket signs or beatings.
I don't have a right to receive gifts on the 25th of December ?? I don't have a right to place a replica tree inside my own house ?? I don't have a right to receive a little more money than usual when my employer decides to give me more ???
Okay that sounds fair, I mean if I were to do any of those things you'd probably start screaming about being oppressed so it's probably worth giving up those rights. Just a few questions though ... Am I denied the right to any of these things all year round or just on the 25th of December ?? Would I have been allowed to do any of these things on the 25th of December before Christianity stole the winter festival from us pagans ??? Is you crazy ???
I see it as YULE Holiday! Yule Bonus, Yule Parties ... whatever! It's fun to get together with the family and give and receive presents .... *sigh*
For most people it's not about Jesus anymore anyway ...
Christmas has become a secular holiday much like halloween, and I don't see you complaining about that.
@Fanatic Templar: "You stole the holiday from pagans, and now we've stolen it from you. What are you going to do about it? Huh?" True be that. Christmas' timing was purely so you could convert paegans.
Confused?
