Go back to 2000 years ago, before things like electricity, modern medicin, and the internal combustion engine changed civilisation.
Indeed, decide on a worldview and one set of morals, then stop all form of progress. How do you like it back there in the bronze age? Oh you're not there? You're in fact here and now, enjoying life in an advanced liberal democracy with sophisticated technology and advanced science? Do you know where all that came from? It certainly wasn't from conservativism and resistance against progress!

Since this process is what we call "correction," it is what makes science so useful. Reality-based correction is its greatest strength.

Even assuming it to be the word of God (which is profoundly debatable to say the least), this is a weakness, not a strength, since the Bible is rife with errors as well as moral wrongness. Even in this claim, however, you are incorrect; the Bible has been translationally and editorially altered many times -- but, sadly, not in the constructive sort of way that science knowledge changes. These changes have made no more difference than the rearranging of deck chairs on the Titanic.

The fact that science is willing to admit when its wrong and update itself with improved information is a testament to its strength. For example, it was once thought that the earth was flat. Science has proved that the Earth is an oblate spheroid, and no amount of further research will change that.
