We are looking to possibly relocate outside the US as we don't want to be complicit in this nation's sins any longer. If you're a friend of The Bible, you will know then that the daughter of Babylon has made all other nations drunk with her filth. If the US is in fact the daughter of Babylon, it will not survive into the Day of the Lord. We are counting on being with you. The Bible says you will not know the end is near by the time or the calendar but to just look for the signs. The one world government/religion (Luciferian) is around the corner, my friend.

Well, Winston, good luck with that. You do realize that virtually every other country with comparable standards of living is more “liberal”* than the USA, don’t you? And if you don’t want to learn a new language, you are pretty much reduced to the choice between Canada, the UK, Australia or New Zealand, all of which must seem to be socialist-marxist circles of hell to you.

*In this case I use “liberal” as used in the USA. That’s another thing you’d have to get used to: In the rest of the world words have specific meanings other than “someone/something I don’t like”. Start learning the actual definitions of Nazism, fascism, communism, Marxism, socialism, liberalism etc. And no, these are not synonyms.

So, let me get this straight. You want to leave the US because you think it's morally filthy but every other nation is also morally filthy. That poses a bit of a problem, but I hear Antarctica is nice at this time of year.

John_in_Oz is right; this is a great site and you have to allow that it has its foibles. And sometimes it isn't clear why one submission I make gets posted and the other doesn't.

There are plenty of left-wing fundies out there but I suspect that FSTDT is run, moderated and visited by humans who: 1)don't visit sites like Socialist Unity that tell you how great Ceausescu was; and 2) many of whom are left-wing and some maybe as myopic about the extreme left as those on the right are about the Tea Party and its ideological friends. That said, we do get the odd fundie quote from the left, particularly when that left is feminist or green. Other than North Korea, I've yet to see a Marxist fundie here.

I is just astounding to me the people could, in the age of the internet, STILL fall for and spout this garbage.

Did you know that people have been saying "just look at the signs! The end is now!" for Approximatley 1987 years now? (2013+7-33). In the bible Jesus says not one generation will pass...I guess that Jesus has a very different idea of what consititues a generation.

There have actually been some psych studies that show that show that many people cannot imagine existance continuing after their own death, that the idea that they live in in a period of history that while important to their existance is fairly unremarkable from a large scheme of things is impossible for them to accept.

However, just once I would like to see a fundy come out and say "We are far away from Jesus comming back so maybe our best bet is to try and follow his teachings and live exemplary lives instead of fantacizing about the rapture."

Depends on what country we're talking about. Perhaps it appears that way in the US due to the right's mingling with religious social conservatives.

Still, what do you think of Obama's arming of Syrian rebels and his support for the deeply undemocratic, un-American and totalitarian NDAA? Doesn't sound like the left is clean in the US either, it just seems like they know how to have a better public image.

Well technically it's not. But the person who said did believe it to be so and thought this was necessary in the name of "TRUE equality". Now I'm not saying she represents anyone but herself, she might even be a poe.

If you want more common examples, there's Swedish feminists who think prostitution must be banned in the name of "gender equality". Complete rubbish and based on the same misunderstanding of what equality actually means. It means equality of rights under the law. Prostitution does not in any way infringe on that. If you're forced into it, that's already illegal under kidnapping/rape laws.

I'm sorry but this is complete bollocks. Racism is: "a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others." Anyone can be racist, it doesn't matter what institutional power you have (if you have). Whites against blacks, blacks against whites, Asians against Hispanic etc. anything is possible and none of it is justifiable.

And if you really want to go down that road, basically all I have to do is find one (just one) western government employee, who is non-white, and who has displayed prejudice against a white in the course of duty. Right... you really want to argue that no such person has ever existed or could exist?
