“In God's eyes, rape is the same as denying God.”
Yes, yes, all sins are equally sinful.
That would be a problem with the system, then. For atheism, there’s me and there’s (allegedly) one or more gods. A total of two involved.
For rape, there’s the rapist, sinning, the victim, who is traumatized, and there’s God. Sitting there, watching it happen, not stopping it. That’s three beings involved. Should be worse.
“I would even wager that God views denying him to be the bigger sin and will punish the atheist more than the rapist.”
The bigger sin? You JUST SAID that all sins are equal before God, now you think you can shade it to one side?
Go back out and think this over until you’re consistent with yourself.
“The rapist might believe in God but be misled in his actions. The atheist knowlingly denies God.”
No, I do not. I used to, but i had questions no one’s ever answered, and they made me question the really bad evidence offered for the gods. I don’t deny any god, i just don’t find any argument for any of them to be worth a shit.
“The atheist commits the unforgivable sin. The rapist only sins towards his fellow man.”
But at least the rapist also violates existing laws in most states.
The atheist doesn’t.
