(I can't help but note the difference in reaction to "nutty" Pat predicting a terrorist attack with alot of deaths and Al Gore and global Warming experts predicting a dire future with alot of deaths but the global warming "predictions" are met with acceptance ..... )

Can Pattie-boy model his predictions on historical data and scientific principles?
...'Cause the Global Warming thing has plenty of scientific evidence supporting it, is accepted as an inevitable truth by most of the world, and has real fucking consequences for everyone on the Earth ?
Yeah, that is funny, huh? The contentions of the scientific community are accepted and the ravings of an assoholic old Fundie are dismissed. Couldn't see that one coming, could you?
Well, if there is evidence to support a supposition, then that same supposition will be met with general acceptance. If, on the other hand, someone pulls something out of thin air, that same thing will be largely ridiculed or completely ignored. And since Pat's record is pretty abysmal, putting no stock in it is a reasonable response.

For me, it has much to de with the same reason I accept the TofE, namely, a very wide range of scientific disciplines disinterested in each other nevertheless reinforce the central Theory.
TDR: Like Eric says, that is technically terrorism, and it's more common than people think. Rarely gets reported on. Even when it gets to the stage of a farmer buying explosives to blow up congress (which occurred very recently in the US, luckily it was an undercover agent he tried to buy the explosives from). If it doesn't relate to "Islamofacists" then it doesn't rate a mention, it seems...
