We do sow immorality. I mean look at how racism is still a problem. People hide behind God to justify bigotry though God if he exists is saying an awful lot

The division comes when you use that issue to drive a wedge between two political parties and appeal to the high-religion, low-information population. Maturity will come when sensible folks reject your premise and realize that after allowing same sex marriages, the country has not been eaten by Godzilla or overrun with locusts.
