"By Faith (We) Fly."
So, those (fundie) pilots of said P-51 Mustangs; I guess they don't have fuel indicator gauges on the instrument panels in their cockpits, eh? If their planes fly purely by faith (must be the next stage in aircraft control systems* evolution, after 'Fly By Wire' in the likes of the USA's F-22 Raptor, British/German/Spanish/Italian Eurofighter Typhoon, French Dassault Rafale, Chinese J-20 etc: Fly By Prayer), then surely it wouldn't matter if they don't have exact knowledge of their fuel levels; even if their reserve tanks run out, all they have to do is 'pray', and the engine will continue to run, amirite? Or why bother with fuel at all? If they need fuel gauges, then they don't have much faith in their 'faith'.
Then there's the little matter of the Hawker-Siddeley Harrier; the first successful VTOL plane. What, so it's not it's Rolls-Royce (them again! As with the P-51 Mustang/Spifire/Hurricane's V12 Merlin engines) Pegasus jet engine - with it's vectored thrust nozzles that means it can take off & land vertically; nay, even fly backwards and sideways - it's actually the RAF/Royal Navy/US Marine (in licence-built Harriers) pilots praying?! [/hyper-sarcasm]
In which case - considering the Harrier's VTOL facility - why even bother with waiting for that so-called '(C)Rapture' you lot have a hard-on for? You can just 'faith' your way up to Heaven, can you not?! [/smartarse]
"When you are airborne and look under the wings and see ... nothing holding you up,
you gain a better understanding of faith."
In that case, why bother having wings in the first place? Aye, there's the rub...! Former Senator/US Marine pilot/NASA astronaut John Glenn and Brigadier-General Charles 'Chuck' Yeager, USAF (Ret.) would like a word with you, Ruptured Retards.

*- 'You must think in Russian' - Dr. Baranovich (Nigel Hawthorne), "Firefox"
(A Mach-6+ plane, undetectable to radar, with thought-controlled weapons; the 1982 Clint Eastwood film based on the 1977 novel by Craig Thomas, which introduced the concept of Stealth before the likes of the F-117A & B-2 had entered the public consciousness, post-Gulf War I. The Eurofighter Typhoon has voice-controlled weapons. The Science Fiction of the past is the Science Fact (almost) of today. Then there's Project Aurora; a hypersonic plane...!)
**- Damn good film, that. As an aerospace fiend, it's one of my all-time favourites; Chuck Yeager even has a cameo appearance in it.
@moose
Info received and assimilated, good sir. Strange then, that Americentric types don't mention that fact you so helpfully pointed out (and justifiably called me out on; appreciate that, from one moose to another! b^_^d ). Why, they probably think that the film "U-571" was a documentary...! [/sarcasm]

I'll bet Wally also believes that:

* The Moon's made of cheese.
* There are sea monsters over the horizon.
* Lightining is God honing his mean javelin skills.
* Thunder is the sound of "Rip Van Winkle" Gnomes bowling.
* Misplaced socks involve little Sock Goblins with reside in the washer/dryer.
* There are guys in the ATM machines with tiny printing presses that print money on demand.
* Lucy & Ricky, Bo & Luke, Dr. House, The News Anchors, Alien Monsters, Joel/Mike & The Bots, The Olympics, The Super Bowl, etc. all literally reside in that box/screen in the living room.

* Wind is caused by trees, sneezing.
This guy better be a Poe because the alternative is terrifying."
Wally (appropriate screename, or what?!) had better not watch the anime series "Strike Witches"*, if he knows what''s good for him. Two words: 'Strike Units'.
*- For better or worse, Chuck Yeager even appears in this! Or at least his female namesake, Charlotte Yeager (from the United States of Liberion). X3
