Heyer was hit by a car and died from blunt-force trauma. And had she not been struck by that car, she likely wouldn't have died from any cause that day...that year...maybe that decade.
And from what I saw of her, she weighed a little less than the average American.
But even if she’d been grossly overweight and had died of an MI after the mental surprise and physical shock of being struck by a vehicle - hard enough the coroner ruled the death occurred as a result of blunt force trauma she was still killed outright by that idiot driver. She didn't kill herself. A guy these moral degenerates seem to admire for his act of manslaughter is the one who killed her.
This kind of bullshit takes victim-blaming to a level so far beyond ridiculous our language needs a new phrase to describe it.
And, pay as I might for this, I wish real pain and real tragedy on every single person alive who has seriously engaged in this level of stupidity. I hope they suffer loss and that, when they do, people online build communities designed solely to mock their grief and pain.
I believe in an It that will most assuredly punish me for temporarily ignoring all I learned about respect for our common humanity. Even knowing that for a certainty, though, I still want them to experience the flipside of their cruelty; to know what it's like to have their loved ones dragged through the mud by lying demagogues. I want them to watch as their own children are mocked for being angry they had to endure a school shooting. I want them to foam at the mouth with utter rage when they hear that powerful people lied their asses off completely by comparing the closing gesture in a speech to a Nazi salute.’ I want them to hear television “personalities” compare a teenager to a bloody dictator merely because he's impassioned that what he saw shouldn't be allowed to keep happening over and over and over again.
I want them to suffer, measure for measure.
