[After someone explains that the sun radiates energy from nuclear fusion]
The energy comes from somewhere. However, the nuclear fission lie was made up to explain why the Sun hasn't run out of energy after 20 billion years.

He said 'fusion'.
And scientists don't make stuff up, they make theories based on evidence and observations, in this case, mass spectrometer readings.
I don't know much about those things, but fusion is one thing and fission is quite another, right? Aren't they sort of each others opposites?
Scientists can't lie, not for long anyway. The other scientists who are peer-reviewing and testing the hypothesis will find that it IS a lie, and it will not become a Theory.
We can measure various things like the energy output of the sun, the neutrino flow coming from there, make spectrographic measurements to determine nuclear distributions in the sun (this was how the element helium was discovered, btw), and a lot more.
All of this is completely consistent and confirms energy creation by nuclear fusion in the sun's core. It even gets more compelling by the fact that we do regularly nuclear fusion here on earth. Even several amateur hobbyists have build working nuclear fusion reactors; I'm not joking: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fusor (unfortunately, we still cannot apply fusion to economically create power)
YOU, on the other hand, have: A very questionable interpretation of doubtful passages in a chaotically mixed up collection of ancient fairy-tales. And nothing else.
Who has more credibility on this topic? Modern science, or "Young Earth"?
I like these facts
Our sun has maybe six billion years left before it goes Red Giant. Goodbye Earth.
Adromeda Galaxy will impact ours in Six and a half billion years. Earth maybe has another billion.
Big whoop, wanna fight about it?
For fucks sake on a astrological cracker. If you care at all about how the sun works then pay some attention to the experts who can predict sun phases now.
"20 billion years"
The universe has existed for just 14 billion years (give or take a few hundred million). Ergo...:

Doubly so, as - via your claim to be a right-wing Fundamental ist Christian - you're supposed to be a YECer (and thus by definition, our universe is just 6000 years old). HERETIC!
"explain why the Sun hasn't run out of energy after 20 billion years."
But (as a result of phone hacking), the News of the World ran out of existence after 168 years.

Twenty billion years? You must be of a similar age to me, if you accept that dated estimate.
The difference between us is that I've been listening since.
Confused?
