Christians don't have to prove anything to atheists and scoffers.
That's true, unless you would like to convince them, instead of only demonizing and dehumanizing them, misunderstanding them and using them as a general scapegoat. Misconstruing knowledge and the separation of church and state as atheism is bullshit too, for instance.
Many Christians get shaken up by the latest big words and fancy ideas coming from dead souls
"Dead souls" can be understood to be dehumanization. Fancy words and ideas is an interesting way to display your ignorance, falsely claiming that knowledge you don't like because it puts some dogmas in perspective, like that humans would be the center of the universe, would only be some kind of cultural fashion.
God--BUT--things like guilt, hurt, hatred, despondency, need, and emptiness still plague these people.
Isn't this exactly what cults prey on?
Their emotions, desires and actions cannot be adequately explained through their evolutionary world view.
This exposes that your dogma is for control, by misconstruing knowledge as a taboo that could only really be about "sin justifications", etc. There is no reason for knowledge to be a competing game against you, unless you posit yourself against it.
It's hard on 'em to figure it all out. Psychiatrists are making a killing.
Very interesting. This may be more projection, due to the high prevalence of mental health issues in high control groups. There are many reasons for this. Tension against the world, cognitive dissonance, social anxiety (need to be quiet or to sound like a crackpot), manipulation and exploitation, extortion, sex abuse, political radicalization for useful idiots to fight against their rights... If you keep fidels away from mental health professionals, it also says a lot about the level of control.
