There are many circumstances where authorities put people in a position where they are called upon to make a choice between serving the authority or God. Employers do this, parents do this, schools even do this when they give you a test asking how old the earth is (they'd mark the true answer, 7,000 - 10,000 years wrong). So what are you supposed to do? Easy!
Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

If your parents are asking you to lie, you cannot.

There will even be a day here in the United States when there will be laws against preaching the truth. Already, there are laws on the books in other countries that prohibit people from calling homosexuality a sin. In places, it is against the law to preach the Gospel of Christ from a street corner. Soon, it will be illegal to do so from the pulpit. What are we do to? Obey God rather than man. Pure and simple.
