JEWISH CUSTOMS?

A sodomite activist has mockingly propounded what he calls the ‘Shellfish Suppression Act‘ as his scornful response to my initiative. To such an evil sodomite the pronouncement of God’s wrath against him and the entire society is just an occasion for ridicule and levity. It’s all a great big joke until the day of reckoning arrives.

“And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.” (Genesis 19:14)

Nevertheless, this might be a truly perplexing issue to some people. Some might wonder, “Why did Moses tell the Jews not to eat shellfish? (Leviticus 11). And if that prohibition was discarded in the New Testament (Acts 10:15), then can the prohibition against sodomy be made equally outdated?”

The explanation is simply that Moses’ law expressed two things: (1) Governing sinful people according to moral principles; and (2) providing special customs for the Jewish nation.

The moral code is innately written in man’s heart and conscience (Romans 2:15) from which all societies know and enforce Natural Law as a restraint against human evil (Romans 13:9; 1 Timothy 1:9-10). Thus when Moses announced moral laws, they were statements of eternal truth.

But God also decreed that the people of the earth should be separated from each other (Genesis 11:6-8; Deuteronomy 32:8) – and to that end all societies also retain particular customs which set them apart from other people. And so likewise, Moses commanded Jewish ceremonial customs for his people.

So although the Jewish customs that he gave are not necessarily applicable to other nations, nevertheless Moses did make clear those moral standards of human behaviour that do apply to all people and nations.

The sodomite who is mockingly proposing the outlawing of shellfish would be incensed if he watched his neighbour kill a stray cat and turn him into chop-suey. We consider eating cats and dogs to be abomination. In fact, California voters also made horse-meat consumption a crime under Proposition 6 in 1998.

The shellfish ban is part of the ceremonial customs of the Jewish people – but the prohibition against men fornicating with other men is part of the universal moral law – it is never okay in any country under any circumstances:

“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” (Leviticus 20:13)

About five hundred years before Moses wrote the verse above, the men of Sodom were destroyed for violating it. They were already culpable for violating God’s natural laws for human procreation which have remained in existence from the moment man and woman were created upon the earth.

“But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” (Mark 10:6-9)

A TERRIBLE SIN.

According to God sodomy is one of the most wicked sins that a man can commit.

In fact, several of the great men of faith in the Bible committed terrible sins like murder (Ex. 2:12; 2 Sam. 12:9)- yet they were forgiven and used by God. But not so with sodomy – there isn’t a single example in scripture of a sodomite reforming his life and being used by God to do anything. Theoretically it’s possible (1 Corinthians 6:11), but every indication is that the sin is like a black-hole for those whom God has given up on (Romans 1:24,26).

To demonstrate just how incredibly wicked sodomites are from God’s viewpoint (Genesis 13:13), notice that when God burned all of them up, he saved out of their midst a man associated with rape and incest (Gen. 19:8; Gen 19:36; 2 Peter 2:7). Rape and incest occurs between a man and a woman – but sodomy is against nature. Yet to make it even more pronounced, God killed Lot’s wife for no other sin than just lingering behind and looking back toward that wicked city (Gen. 19:26).

The Bible says,

“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.” (Ephesians 5:11-12)

LOT’S WIFE.

Jesus says, “Remember Lot’s wife.“ (Luke 17:32). Have you obeyed that command?

The Sodomite Suppression Act is based upon the Bible. If the Bible is to be believed, then God will destroy California because of the sodomites in our midst. Are you with God and the Bible, or standing with Lot’s wife looking back with longing on all your friends in the city?

BROKEN REEDS.

Stoning Sodomites with bullets is way too biblical for today’s self-professed champions of ‘moral-values’. While eagerly seeking donations from Bible-believing Christians, many are actually ashamed of the Bible.

“Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” (Mark 8:38)

Two so-called ‘Christian’ organizations that condemned the Sodomite Suppression Act are Save California and Pacific Justice Institute. Both refused to acknowledge the following:

1. God’s word says sodomy is a crime that deserves death (Romans 1:32); and

2. God will destroy nations that tolerate sodomites (2 Peter 2:6).

Both groups condemned the Sodomite Suppression Act without making any reference to those truths. In fact, both organizations officially voiced the exact opposite position, to wit:

1. Sodomites do not deserve death, and

2. We must live with sodomites in mutual tolerance.

What a shameful capitulation to the sodomites. Both those organizations now have their share of culpability in the deaths of all the people of the State of California who are surely going to be killed by God’s wrath.

“When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.” (Ezekiel 3:18)

CAN WE JUDGE? DEATH PENALTY?

A bewildering ‘Christian’ response to the Sodomite Suppression Act has come from those who seem to think that it dispatches souls into hell. They must think this is the case because they have objected to it by saying such odd things as, ‘Christ wants to save everybody‘ and ‘we are all sinners in need of forgiveness‘ and so forth.

Those are theological statements that pertain to the salvation of souls. They are inapplicable to the operation of a human criminal justice system so they are not valid objections to the Sodomite Suppression Act .

Those who engage in sodomy deserve death, just like those who commit any other capital crime. We can hope that criminals will get their souls saved, but even if they do, it doesn’t relieve them from the necessity of paying the penalty for their crimes.

This is common sense and good judgement. It is quite unfortunate that some mushy-headed Christians resist it, turning the grace of God into lasciviousness (Jude 4).

St Paul approved of the death penalty when he said, “For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die—” (Acts 25:11).

He also described the death penalty as being one of the essential duties of government:

“For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil—. For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.” (Romans 13:3-4)

Please again note the distinctions between different sorts of judgements. The teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ pertain to lofty principles of heavenly righteousness and teach us to be kind and forgiving in personal dealings with our neighbours. Christ’s teachings occur between individuals and God’s judgement of the heart. These things are a quite different subject matter than Moses’ law which was the legal system governing the Jewish people.

Compared to God’s own perfect righteousness we all fall short and have no basis to think ourselves worthy to judge other men’s souls; yet this objection is inapplicable to civil magistrates in the performance of their earthly duties in which they must judge criminals and punish wickedness in the name of the law.

You may turn the other cheek and nobly forgive personal slights, but a government that turns the other cheek to let criminals go free is neither pious nor holy – it is devilish.

“¶ Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:17-19)

“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet— Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” (Romans 1:26-27, 32)

The ignorant notion that the Lord Jesus Christ was somehow silent or ambivalent about Sodomites is a fiction manufactured by liars with a bad conscience.

Christ’s animosity toward Sodomites was so ‘extreme’ that he professed an almost impatient desire to burn them all up.

The warning that Jesus Christ will return to burn up his enemies with unquenchable fire is repeatedly connected to the example of Sodom, the import of which is absolutely unmistakable: Sodomites will infect the world in the end of days, and Christ will return in his wrath for the very purpose of burning them in the torments of eternal fire.

Consider the following examples of ‘invidious discrimination’ and ‘hate speech’ of our Creator Jesus Christ toward sex-perverts:

#1 – Jesus said marriage is only between a man and woman:

“And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” (Matthew 19:4-6)(see also, Mark 10:6-9)

#2 – Jesus affirmed observance of the Old Testament Law (viz., Lev. 20:13):

“¶ Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:17-19)

#3 – Jesus explained that the purpose of his return in the future will be to burn up the world’s sodomites with flaming fire:

“¶ I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? 50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished! 51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:.” (Luke 12:49-51)

“Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” (Luke 17:28-30)

#4 – Jesus warned the friends of Sodomites of getting the same treatment:

“Remember Lot’s wife.” (Luke 17:32)

#5 – Jesus repeatedly said he would return to burn up the wicked:

“19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.” (Matthew 7:19)

“As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 13:40-42)

“Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. 9 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.” (Matthew 18:8-9)

# 6 -Jesus’ disciples Peter and Jude – who lived with Christ and knew all his teachings – explained that the Sodomites weren’t doomed for being ‘unfriendly’ – they were damned for being sex perverts:

“Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. 8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.” (Jude 1:7-8)

“And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; 7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) 9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:” (2 Peter 2:6-9)

Those passages describe Sodomites as those who engage in ‘filthy’ ‘unlawful’ ‘fornication’ – and they make it crystal clear that the same such perverts will be burned to ashes in the most horrifying manner imaginable by the Lord Jesus Christ.

Still think Jesus was non-committal on the issue of destroying Sodomites? If so, please donate your frontal lobe to science so they can study the densest matter in the universe.

Better-informed Sodomites don’t display their stupidity as recklessly as to make the bizarre claim of taking a sworn enemy like the Lord Jesus Christ as their benefactor. That’s a phenomenon reserved for the worst of the worst – the most shameless and blind of the entire bunch.

Degenerates should claim for themselves a moral relativist like Buddha, or some a worldly philosopher that tried to deny the judgment to come. Call upon whatever gods you want – but don’t call upon Jesus Christ, unless you repent.

Hating evil is Jesus Christ’s eternal joy:

“Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” (Psalms 45:7)

“For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. 5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.” (Psalms 5:4-5)

“For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.” (Revelation 22:15)
