I get 99% of all that I pray for.
It's very easy to get a good track record for something that's been widely discredited like prayer when you pray for things that you know would happen anyways. Like breathing.
Because of this I am very careful about what I pray for.
See? You know not to pray for anything that wouldn't come true without prayer because you know, if only on a subconscious level, that prayer DOESN'T WORK. Period.
Sometimes I get things in eerie ways. As an example, I was running trash at the local Native American Powwow. I was completely exhausted, so I prayed for my dad to show up and take me home. I saw him literally 5 minutes later. He must have left right after I prayed.
Or... maybe you had planned in advance for him to pick you up at that time and then attributed his coming not to planning but to prayer? Apparently this whole 'cause and effect' thing is an alien concept to you.
Another example, my dad signed me up for a flag football game and I really didn't want to play. I prayed that I would get out of it somehow. Strangely the rest of my team showed up late and I didn't have to play.
Another wonderful way to give prayer a good track record is attributing luck or coincidence to divine powers at work. Prayer is still bullshit.
These examples and many others have convinced me of the power of prayer. To those that get nothing from prayer I think you may be praying incorrectly.
The only thing your stupid anectodes have convinced me of is the fact that you're an idiot whose birth was a waste. Your parents should have used contraceptives. Now GTFO our planet.
