What kind of megalomanic is this guy (Obama) ?? He wants the hall all to himself. He doesn't want to look around the room, and be reminded during his speech that many people have other gods besides him. Will Georgetown obey Obama's first Commandment, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me"?
At the very least, the guy is for suppression of religion. Unless you happen to be thoroughly beholden to him, that is.

Ragtime needs to get his head out of his tiny ass. GWB was for suppression of religion, except of the fundy Christian kind. So were John Ashcroft, Tom DeLay, John Hostettler, Rick Scumtorum & a lot of other Rethuglicans.
He doesn't want to look around the room, and be reminded during his speech that many people have other gods besides him.
Is there irony on your planet?
At the very least, the guy is for suppression of religion.
But you of course are openminded and promote all religions? Or just your own?
Hypocrisy, thy name is fundie.
Who with the what, not? Obama seems to be a very humane, reasonable person, who likes it when people get together and discuss matters, and hopefully come to a joint decission afterwards.
I guess that seems strange to you, as you are used to one person saying something and all others agreeing on the spot. If anyone has megalomania it's you fundies who think that everyone else should conform to your twisted beliefs.
While supposedly a believer himself I think Obama has made it clear that it is ok to worship a god other then Jesus H. Christ..or to not worship a god at all.
You can do those things and still be considered a good American.
Also, you are a douchebag.
What? No preferential treatment for your particular insane religion and your clergy handlers?
How could he possibly put himself above what your ranting leaders tell you is God's will?
Call the WAAAAAAAmbulance! The inmates feel their sense of entitlement to run the asylum is being threatened!
Wrong planet? Please, oh puh-lease get off!
He's already the president. Why do you think he thinks he needs to be a god too?
Besides, he's not at all about suppression of religion (look at what else he's done). He does know his constitution, however, and knows that no religion is supposed to be promoted over any other by the government.
Which other gods?
Osiris, Dagda, Mannanan? Morrigan, Odin, Thor, Freya???????
What kind of megalomaniac? The kind that isn't one!
This did however make me imagine Obama talking like Beast Wars Megatron, yess....
He doesn't want to look around the room, and be reminded during his speech that many people have other gods besides him.
Obama is a conservative republican?
At the very least, the guy is for suppression of religion.
I think you got it wrong. When Obama said that "America is not a Christian nation" he was correct. America is a nation founded on freedom. It is not under one religion. Read the first amendment and the Treaty of Triopoly if you don't believe me.
"He wants the hall all to himself. He doesn't want to look around the room, and be reminded during his speech that many people have other gods besides him."
No, that's you fundies and your god.
Are you bat-shit insane? At no time has this guy ever had a god complex. He doesn't even claim to speak for god nor does he insist his policies come straight from god. Oh wait, that was some other guy. Tell us, how can you speak a complete sentence with Dick Cheney's cock in your mouth?!
He's a great orator, in JFK's position. If he can persuade his party to agree with him, the world will be a better place. He's open minded and wants to talk to enemies.
Compare that with Bush who was just the mouthpiece of Carl Rove (did anybody notice how much nicer Bush got after Rove resigned?). He can make decisions for himself and even write books. His fall and rise will be based on whether the senate toes his line.
NOBODY is seriously worshiping Obama as a god. He's a man. Sometimes he makes good decisions. Sometimes (hopefully VERY rarely while he's in office) he makes bad ones.
Ragtime needs to start worrying about more important things.
The lecture hall was to be decorated with US flag, presidential flag and it HAPPENED to be in front of the religions icons. He is also trying not to play favorites with any particular religion. Deal with it.
Anyhow you frigging fundies would piss and moan about about this 'Muslim/Arab' president standing in front of a cross.
@Ajax:
Because when fundie parents have children, they consider it their duty to indoctrinate the wee ones as thoroughly as possible.
Children with mental disorders, sadly, are the least likely to overcome this indoctrination and the most likely to defend it angrily on the Internet. Us vs. Them is a simple idea, and they latch on to it because it's the one thing in a confusing, complex world that makes sense to them.
@ EvoPagan
I agree, after all the constitution does defend freedom of religion.
On another note, I have yet to figure out why fundies and far-rights are already declaring Obama's presidency a failure when he's been in office for about 3 months.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
