The other day a thought hit me like a ton of bricks... The majority of young to middle age people who are alive today will not live very long lives like past generations.. They will leave this earth at a much younger age than those before them.. The majority of people especially young people expect to live to see old age. They expect to be 75 one day with white hair and have grandkids, but they have no clue... The reason they will not live to be very old is (1). Either they will be raptured. (2). Or the majority will either die as a martyr or die during the 7 year tribulation. (3) very few will survive the tribulation... When I think about that it is such an odd feeling... The weirdest feeling about this is very few of them know this - they have no clue what is going to happen.

"...they have no clue what is going to happen."
Just like Jake24, and everyone on RR.
Let's not forget all of these predictions that didn't come true:

So when is this rapture taking place? Christians have been promising it forever (well, 2000 years) and we still have to listen your yammering!
Please, get it over with already!
They expect to be 75 one day
Yep, I even have a good chance of making it to 90, as some members of my family did.

Er... soon , right?

MATTHEW 24:36 (KJV)
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Jesus said it, I agree with it, that settles it, you are an idiot, Jerk00!
How nice that you aren't troubled by the wars, poverty and abuse that is rife in the world today. Here in the USA the self-proclaimed party of god is doing their best to imitate the biblical Pharisees by why bother yourself with that? The Philippines were recently hit by one of the worst storms ever, but you needn't be concerned by the people who live there.
Why should you think about anything your savior told you to think about when the rapture is coming...soon?
Translation: I have done fuck-all to create any kind of medical or educational funds for my kids.
Taking this reasoning a step further, shouldn't you be supporting abortions, to save those innocents from suffering?
A ton of bricks would kill you.
People have been believing that they are living in the End Days for several thousand years, silly. I bet the people living today will live just as long lives as the people before us.
they have no clue what is going to happen.
... and Jake does, because he read a bunch of rambling nonsense by that psychotic wacko who wrote Revelation and gave it an even wackier interpretation.

When you're so used to not thinking, I'd imagine it might feel that way...
The oldest person in Britain is 115.
What was the life expectation in, say, Biblical times...?!
Advancements in medical science proves you wrong , Jerkoff. What does Reality say about your so-called '(C)Rapture'?! Remember: 1 Thessalonians 5:21 (KJV): 'Prove all things'.
The only thing odd here is you and the rest of those on Ruptured Retards who have no clue ...!
Jake24 hereby adheres to the age-old tradition of the zealous whooshzombie and intones the magical incantation that generations of dedicated whooshnauts before him have chanted. It is pleasing to see the tradition upheld, and it is my fervent wish to see its continuation maintained by future generations. Which I'm pretty damn confident it will be. Hooray! We salute you sir!
I'm sorry but I feel compelled to hit Jake24 with just a single brick, by dropping it on his head from about a foot above. I'm sure it wont be enough to knock some sense into his head, but at least it'll teach him a bit more respect for a whole ton of bricks.
Actually, with the way medical technology and cybernetic science are progressing, it's likely that the people of the current generation will be living well into their hundreds, not just their 70's. I read a study a few years back that postulated that the first human to live to be 1000 is alive right now.
Oh wait, you're talking about your fairy tale. Carry on then.
Just like the early Christians believed:
"It's all coming to an end right now! All of these people I don't like are totally going to eat it very, very.........and I died of old age waiting for my necrophilia fantasy to come true."
no, the weirdest feeling about this is that you have no clue what's going to happen. where the world came from, where the world is going, what the world means, what you mean, all hopelessly uncertain. that weird feeling is the human condition.
"The other day a thought hit me like a ton of bricks..."
Yes, they can feel like that when your not used to them. You might experience head aches too at first. But don't worry, they reduce to little more than a crease in the forehead with practice.
Confused?
