"It's full of fools who can't seem to get enough of the kool-aid"
'Kool-Aid'. You keep using that phrase. I do not think it means what [i]you[/i] think it means. [/Inigo Montoya]
"The delusion they follow is strong"
This coming from people whose entire 'beliefs' is based on a 19th Century heresy. 'Rapture'? The only times that word appears in your so-called 'Word of God':
Song of Solomon 2:3: 'As the apple-tree among the trees of the wood, So is my beloved among the sons: In his shadow have I rapture and sit down; And his fruit is sweet to my taste'
Can't 'go up' when you're getting down. [/disco]
Proverbs 5:19: 'As a loving hind and a gentle doe, let her breasts ever give you rapture; let your passion at all times be moved by her love'
I 'go up' when I play with my girlfriend's breasts; she loves that as part of forefplay, prior to her sitting astride me (and I continue to play with her breasts). >:D
Luke 1:67: 'And Zechariah his father was filled with the Holy Spirit, and spoke in a rapture of praise'
So does speaking afford you antigravitational properties?! [/smartarse]
Psalm 28:7: 'The Lord is my strength and my breastplate, my heart had faith in him and I am helped; for this cause my heart is full of rapture, and I will give him praise'
That should help surgeons, should you ever need a heart transplant; the old organ just floats out of your chest cavity.
Psalm 51:8: 'Make me full of joy and rapture; so that the bones which have been broken may be glad'
Yes, I've heard that listening to Blondie can cure all ills. X3
'I just got off on Rachel Maddows Facebook page'

Moral:
The 'delusion' we follow is strong, you say little Raptard? I hereby challenge you - and everyone else on Ruptured Retards - to look in the relevant piece of scripture:
1 Thessalonians 4:17: 'After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord for ever'
And find for me the exact word 'Rapture', verbatim.
2 Thessalonians 2:11: (KJV, Cambridge Ed.)'And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie'
'If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.'
-Joseph Goebbels, Hitler's Propaganda Minister
The word 'Millerite. Ever hear of it, Ruptured Retards? You should. Also, two words: Harold Camping.
No, verisimilitude, you are the deluded.
And then - on their deathbeds, still unsucked off by their J-man - they knew the real definition of the word 'Verisimilitude'. Also, Hubris.
@dionysus
Some tribes in the Amazon rainforest don't have written languages, just oral, learned & passed on to the next generations. Now how are these Raptards - even if they can learn these languages themselves - going to pass on the 'Good News' to them, if they have no alphabet or even symbolic form of language (have they translated the Bible into the pictographic language of Rapa Nui ['Easter Island']: Rongorongo, for example?)
Remembering how one Raptard has let themselves go, to the extent of not bothering to clean their house, I somehow doubt verisimilitude or anyone else on RR can be arsed to actually go to South America and 'spread the word' to said Amazonian tribes, if they have no clue about their purely oral history language(s), nor have any way of passing on said 'Good News' without written language(s).
