"Personally I believe in God, heaven, hell and that Satan is real."
How do you feel about Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman? I've seen 'em, so they must be real!
My reasons are based on the fact that I also believe I have felt God's presence and experienced instances of what I call His power.
How much did that cost per kilowatt-hour?
Have you ever heard of a little thing called "confirmation bias?"
"I am not saying that I am right and everyone else is wrong by proxy."
It's the thought that counts, but I think you meant, "ipso facto."
"By proxy" implies a certain solipsism in this case that I don't think you intended.
"However, in my own logic, I would prefer believe that there is a purpose and greater power who actually cares about me than go through life believing that 'this is all there is..."
So you admit it's a convenient delusion for you?
..."I might as well murder, rape, pillage, and decapitate as many people as I can until I die."
Seriously? This shit again? If you tried it, your invisible, imaginary God would not have to lift an imagined finger before your fellow humans put a stop to your rampage. Ask yourself: If there is a God, how come He didn't slap down Jeffrey Dahmer after his first victim?
If you don't believe in Him, He leaves you alone? What is He? Tinkerbell?
